354 vs 360 vs 365 day calendar musings – Part 2

Last time we finished by looking at how the the calendar of scripture is 360 days long. We looked at how the gregorian calendar is 365 days long and we saw that this extra time has accumulated almost 40 years of scriptural time.

The post noted that by placing the extra 5 days time upon a 360 day calendar would also bring us to the first day of the seventh month, which is in 2017.

If we were to look back in the old testament in Joshua, we read something interesting:

Joshua 5:6
6 For the YisraElites walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, that is, the men of war who came out of Egypt died because they did not listen to the voice of Yahuwah; to them Yahuwah had sworn [an oath] that He would not let them see the land which He had promised to their fathers to give us, a land [of abundance] flowing with milk and honey.

That 40 years is almost up. Yahuwah will bring His people into the promised land. Could Yahuwah restore His calendar before these things? He would need to to bring His people back . There are a number of things we should consider.

The role of the two witnesses – What calendar would they use?

Something I had never really considered is the time which the two witnesses shall prophecy upon the earth. The time we are told this shall occur over is 1260 days.

Revelation 11:3-4
3 And I will grant authority to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days (forty-two months; three and one-half years), dressed in sackcloth.”
4 These [witnesses] are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands which stand before the Elohim of the earth.

What is it that they shall witness?  To answer that question we need to look at the 144,000 in Revelation 14 as these are the ones who are pure and have not been defiled by the woman of Babylon.

Revelation 14:4
4 These are the ones who have not been defiled [by relations] with women, for they are celibate. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased and redeemed from among men [of YisraEl] as the first fruits [sanctified and set apart for special service] for Yahuwah and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouth, for they are blameless (spotless, untainted, beyond reproach).

The first fruits of Yahuwah tells us something. We know that Yahushua was the first fruits of those to be raised from the dead as scripture tells us this.

1 Corinthians 15:20-23
20 But now [as things really are] Yahushua has in fact been raised from the dead, [and He became] the first fruits [that is, the first to be resurrected with an incorruptible, immortal body, foreshadowing the resurrection] of those who have fallen asleep [in death].
21 For since [it was] by a man that death came [into the world], it is also by a Man that the resurrection of the dead has come.
22 For just as in Adam all die, so also in Yahushua all will be made alive.
23 But each in his own order: Yahushua the first fruits, then those who are Yahushua’s [own will be resurrected with incorruptible, immortal bodies] at His coming.

Scripture also speaks of another harvest. Some know it as the day of pentecost but scripture calls it by another name which is much more meaningful as we shall see.

Exodus 23:14-17
14 “Three times a year you shall celebrate these appointed times to Me.
15 You shall observe the appointed time of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. No one shall appear before Me empty-handed [but you shall bring sacrificial offerings].
16 Also [you shall observe] the appointed time of Harvest (Weeks, Pentecost, or First Fruits), acknowledging the first fruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field.
And [third] the appointed time of Ingathering (Booths or Tabernacles) at the end of the year when you gather in [the fruit of] your labors from the field.
17 Three times a year all your males shall appear before Yahuwah thy Elohim.

We shall come back to the appointed time of Harvest later. Keep it in mind as we continue. The first fruits have been represented in two ways. The first fruits was in Yahushua. He rose first and He rose upon the day of first fruits. The 144,000 are the first fruits of Yahuwah’s people. They are the ones who are spotless and beyond reproach.

Why are they spotless though? What is it that the 144,000 have done that others have not?

Revelation14:12
12 Here is [encouragement for] the steadfast endurance of the saints (Yahuwah’s people), those who habitually keep Yahuwah’s commandments and their faith in Yahushua.

The 144,00 keep the commandments of Yahuwah, instead of the commandments of men. This is the reason they are described as celibate as they have not defiled themselves with women. The commandments of men are the women which scripture speaks of found inside the various chirches of man.

The 144,000 are pure following, they are not defiled. They are ready to be married. They have faith in Yahuwah and Yahushua will watch over them and guide their path.

The two witnesses prophesy 1260 days. The 144,000 are watched over by Yahuwah for 1260 days as well.

Revelation 7:1-4
1 After this I saw four angels stationed at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.
2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the rising of the sun, holding the seal of the living Elohim; and with a loud voice he called out to the four angels to whom it was granted [to have authority and power] to harm the earth and the sea,
3 saying, “Do not harm the earth nor the sea nor the trees until we seal (mark) the bond-servants of our Yahuwah on their foreheads.”
4 And I heard how many were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand; [twelve thousand] sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel.

Revelation 12:14-16
14 But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time (three and one-half years), away from the presence of the serpent (Satan).
15 And the serpent hurled water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.
16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon had hurled out of his mouth.

During the 1260 days the trumpets are blown. Each trumpet becoming worse then the last. The trumpets are a warning to leave the beast and follow Yahuwah. To come out of her system. We see this in Revelation 18:4 and Jeremiah 51:45

Revelation 18:4
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not be a partner in her sins and receive her plagues; 5 for her sins (crimes, transgressions) have piled up as high as heaven, and Yahuwah has remembered her wickedness and crimes [for judgment].

Jeremiah 51:45
45 “Come out of her midst, My people,
And each of you [escape and] save yourself
From the fierce anger of Yahuwah.

We see that the two witnesses shall prophesy 1260 days. Would Yahuwah have His Appointed ones tell His people about His Appointed times if the calendar was not in line with Him?

So a 365 day calendar, and 354 day calendar both would need to be returned to a 360 day calendar. Is this possible?

The restoration of His calendar

The book of Enoch in the 74th chapter gives some detailed astronical data that does not match our current measurements. We learn in the book of Enoch that a solar year is 364 days long. A lunar year is 12 months x 29.5 days or 354 days long. The lunar year falls in the days of Enoch fall behind the solar year by 10 days each year.

Enoch takes these calculations further and states that in 8 years the moon falls behind the sun 80 days. So a lunar year, will fall behind a solar year by 80 days after 8 years.

But with our current 365.2422 days per solar year, the lunar year is equal to 354.372 days. This would means that in 8 years the moon shall fall behind the sun by 86.9616 days.

So what would Enoch’s 80 day difference be possible with a 364 day solar year using the same calculation?

In Enoch 80 there is a prophecy which we shall look at next. In verses  2-8 it says:

Enoch 80:2-8
2 And in the days of the sinners the years shall be shortened,
And their seed shall be tardy on their lands and fields,
And all things on the earth shall alter,
And shall not appear in their time:
And the rain shall be kept back
And the heaven shall withhold.
3 And in those times the fruits of the earth shall be backward,
And shall not grow in their time,
And the fruits of the trees shall be withheld in their time.
4 And the moon shall alter her order,
And not appear at her time.
5 And in those days the sun shall be seen and he shall journey in the evening on the extremity of the great chariot in the west
And shall shine more brightly than accords with the order of light.
6 And many chiefs of the stars shall transgress the order (prescribed).
And these shall alter their orbits and tasks,
And not appear at the seasons prescribed to them.
7 And the whole order of the stars shall be concealed from the sinners,
And the thoughts of those on the earth shall err concerning them,
[And they shall be altered from all their ways],
Yea, they shall err and take them to be gods.
8 And evil shall be multiplied upon them,
And punishment shall come upon them So as to destroy all.’

Let’s pull this apart:

“And in the days of the sinners the years shall be shortened”

Enoch tells us in the end, the days shall be shortened. This is repeated in Matthew 24:22 and in Mark 13:20.

Matthew tells us this will occur at the time of tribulation. The day would need to be shortened of we were to return to the calendar of scripture.

Matthew 24:15-22
15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place (let the reader understand),
16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains [for refuge].
17 “Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things that are in his house.
18 “Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his coat.
19 And woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
20 Pray that your flight [from persecution and suffering] will not be in winter, or on a Sabbath [when Jewish laws prohibit travel].
21 For at that time there will be a great tribulation (pressure, distress, oppression), such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will [again].
22 And if those days [of tribulation] had not been cut short, no human life would be saved; but for the sake of the elect (Yahuwah’s chosen ones) those days will be shortened.

We read the same thing in Mark:

Mark 13:14-20
14 “But when you see the abomination of desolation standing [in the temple sanctuary] where it ought not to be (let the reader understand) then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
15 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down [to enter the house], or go inside to take anything out of his house;
16 whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his coat.
17 And woe to those women who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
18 Pray that it will not occur in winter,
19 for at that time there will be such tribulation as has not occurred, from the beginning of the creation which Yahuwah made, until now—and never will [be again]. 20 And if Yahuwah had not shortened the days, no human life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose [for Himself], He shortened the days.

Enoch then tells us that all the things on the earth shall be altered. They shall not appear at their time. He tells us that the rain shall be with held (Rain is Yahuwahs word . A pure stream) and that heavens shall hold back such that the fruits of the earth will be backward.

Fruits in scripture is represented that which is produced by teaching. Saying that they shall be backward is saying that they shall not be correct. It then tells us that the fruits shall be withheld. Withholding something means not to provide it.

“And all things on the earth shall alter,
And shall not appear in their time:
And the rain shall be kept back
And the heaven shall withhold.
3 And in those times the fruits of the earth shall be backward,
And shall not grow in their time,
And the fruits of the trees shall be withheld in their time.”

Interestingly Enoch continues by telling then that the moon shall alter her order and not appear at her time.

4 And the moon shall alter her order,
And not appear at her time.

In Genesis 1:14 we learn that the appointed times of Elohim are set by the sun, the moon and the stars. We learn in Psalms 104:19 that the moon sets Yahuwahs appointed times.

Genesis 1:14
14 Then Elohim said, “Let there be light-bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs, and for marking appointed times, and for days, and for years;

Psalms 104:19
19 He made the moon for the appointed times. The sun knows its going down.

So what was it that changed the calendar? What was it that required this? In Hosea 2 and Lamentations 2 we read how Yahuwah removed the appointed times from YisraEl as they were no longer following Him. They had gone off and played the harlot with many lovers and left their first.

He said He would take back His grain at Harvest time and His wine at its appointed time. Yahuwah then said He would remove their Appointed times and they would be forgotten.

Hosea 2:1-13
1“[Hosea,] say to your brothers, ‘Ammi (you are my people),’ and to your sisters, ‘Ruhamah (you have been pitied and have obtained mercy).’
2 “Contend with your mother (nation); contend,
For she is not my wife and I am not her husband;
And have her remove her [marks of] prostitution from her face
And her adultery from between her breasts
3  Or I will strip her naked
And expose her as on the day she was born,
And make her like a wilderness
And make her like a parched land
And slay her with thirst.
4 “Also, I will have no mercy on her children,
Because they are the children of prostitution.
5  “For their mother has played the prostitute;
She who conceived them has acted shamefully,
For she said, ‘I will pursue my lovers
Who give me my food and my water,
My wool and my flax, my oil and my [refreshing] drinks.’
6 “Therefore, behold, I [Yahuwah] will hedge up her way with thorns;
And I will build a wall against her [shutting off her way] so that she cannot find her paths.
7 “She will [passionately] pursue her lovers, but she will not overtake them;
And she will seek them, but will not find them.
Then she will say, ‘Let me go and return to my first husband,
For it was better for me then than now!’
8 “For she (YisraEl) has not noticed nor understood nor realized that it was I  who gave her the grain and the new wine and the oil,
And lavished on her silver and gold,
Which they used for Baal (the roman gods) and made into his image.
9 “Therefore, I will return and take back My grain at harvest time
And My new wine in its season.
I will also take away My wool and My flax
Given to cover her nakedness.
10 “And now I will uncover her lewdness and shame
In the sight of her lovers,
And no one will rescue her from My hand.
** 11 “I will also put an end to all her rejoicing,
Her feasts, her New Moons, her Sabbaths,
All her appointed times. **
12 “I will destroy her vines and her fig trees
Of which she has said, ‘These are my wages
Which my lovers have given me.’
And I will make them a forest,
And the animals of the open country will devour them.
13 “And I will punish her for the [appointed] days of the Baals (Roman gods),
When she used to offer sacrifices and burn incense to them
And adorn herself with her earrings and nose rings and her jewelry,
And follow her lovers, so that she forgot Me,” says Yahuwah

And Lamenations 2:1 and 6

Lamentations 2:1,6
1 How Yahuwah has covered the Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem)
With a cloud in His anger!
He has cast down from heaven to the earth
The glory and splendor of YisraEl
And has not remembered His footstool
In the day of His anger.
…..
…..
6 And He has violently broken down His temple like a [fragile] garden hedge;
He has destroyed His appointed meeting place.
Yahuwah has caused the appointed times and the Sabbaths
To be forgotten in Zion
And has despised and rejected the king and the priest
In the indignation of His anger.

In both Hosea and Lamentations we read about how YisraEl rejected Yahuwah. We learn that Yahuwah made them forget His appointed times. He no longer allowed YisraEl to desecrate these times with their other lovers. But how did He make them forget?

In Enoch 80:5 it says:

5 And in those days the sun shall be seen and he shall journey in the evening on the extremity of the great chariot in the west
And shall shine more brightly than accords with the order of light.
6 And many chiefs of the stars shall transgress the order (prescribed).
And these shall alter their orbits and tasks,
And not appear at the seasons prescribed to them.

I see this fulfilled in two ways:
1) The day has become longer (shining more brightly) and mankind has followed the sun (journeyed with it) to determine His Appointed times.
2) In this way the order of the Light has intensified – making the day longer and also making it harder to see His appointed times as the calendars no longer match.

If Yahuwah set the appointed times to allow us to know when to meet with Him, He only had to change their orbits so they did not appear in their “seasons”. In Genesis 1:14, the word seasons means “appointed times”.  He changed their orbits so they did not appear in their appointed times which have been prescribed to them.

Enoch 80:7 tells us that  the whole order of the stars shall be concealed from the sinners,
And the thoughts of those on the earth shall err concerning them and they shall be altered from all their ways.

And they shall be altered from all their ways,
Yea, they shall err and take them to be gods.

If Yahuwah changed the timing in the sun moon and stars, then those upon the earth would indeed err concerning His appointed times, even if they were following His calendar. And all would be altered from His ways.

Interestingly Enoch also says that they shall err and take them to be gods. Today we see upon the Gregorian calendar the names of gods. This article highlights the pagan god names in use today.

Is there a solution?

Hosea 2:14-23 has a promise attached to the end of the chapter. It is a promise of restoration. It is a promise of marriage. It is a promise of new wine (lessons not yet learnt), a promise of new oil (Lessons of Yahuwah which give light)
