The book of Ezekiel was made up of 13 scrolls. The order in which these scrolls were put together has caused much confusion from this book, with people assuming that the temple must be rebuilt. Rather the temple has already been rebuilt and is no longer required.
The order of the book should be as such:
Scroll 1 – 6th year, 6th month, 5th day
Ezekiel 8:1 – 19:14
– Talks about present state of Israel
Scroll 2 – 7th year, 5th month, 10th day
Ezekiel 20:1 – 23:49
– Shows them how rebellious they have been.
– They will have an opportunity for restoration but need to acknowledge their guilt.
Scroll 3 – 9th year, 10th month, 10th day
Ezekiel 24:1 – 25:17
– Proclamations of surrounding territories
Scroll 4 – 10th year, 10th month, 12th day
Ezekiel 29:1 – 16
– Proclamation against Egypt
Scroll 5 – 11th year, 1st day – month unknown
Ezekiel 26:1 – 28:26
– Proclamation against Tyre and its King.
– Tyre is a metaphor for Satan
– Future blessing attached to it
Scroll 6 – 11th year, 7th day, 1st month
Ezekiel 30:20 – 26
– Proclamation against Pharaoh
Scroll 7 – 11th year, 3rd month, 1st day
Ezekiel 31:1-18
– Egypt cut down
Scroll 8 – 12th year, 15th day, month unknown
Ezekiel 32:17 – 33:20
– Egypt assigned to the pit
– Fall of Jerusalem somewhere here.
Scroll 9 – 12th year, 12th month, 1st day
Ezekiel 32:1-32:16
– Lamentation against Egypt
Scroll 10 – 12th year, 10th month, 5th day
Ezekiel 33:21 – 39:29
– Brenton Septuagint says 10th year, 12th month, 5th day.

– Babylon is going to plunder Egypt.
