What is a faithful witness? We see Yahshua being called this in Revelation 1.
Revelation 1:4
4 John, to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace [be granted] to you and peace, from Him Who is [existing forever] and Who was and Who is to come, and from the seven Spirits that are before His throne,
5 and from Yahusahua Ha Mashiach, the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth.
Why is Yahushua a Faithful witness? Well, what is it that a witness does?
Would you agree that the role of a witness in court is to proclaim the events which occurred and the time that they occurred at? This way the jury can make its decision?
Without either part, the time and the event, a witness is of no use. A witness sees things take place and declares them. In court is when they are called to testify. They say what happened and when it occurred. After the witness, judgment occurs, based on the testimony of the witness.
Are you aware however that scripture tells us of another witness? It also tells us the role this witness plays. But today most people ignore it. And just like they did to the son, ridicule and poke fun at those who use this witness.
Scripture provides us with a clock. That clock acts as a witness. Make no mistake about it. The scripture speaks that this clock is His witness. That clock tells us His appointed times.
Psalm 89:37
It shall be established for ever as the moon, as a Faithful Witness in heaven.
The role of that witness is quite specific though. It shows us when His appointed times are.
Psalm 104:19
He made the moon for the appointed times. The sun knows its going down.
It is much like what I see taking place today. The people have gone off with another and celebrate anothers appointed times.
What Glory does it bring to the Father when we go our own way? What Glory……
Yahuwah Bless.
