A closer look at Daniel 9:27

I thought I might share this. It took me a while to get this far with it. It is Daniel 9:27 which I hear quoted a lot these days. The only problem for me was it did not make much sense initially so I decided to approach the verse from a different angle. Here is that verse:

Daniel 9:27
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”

I got a book a while ago. It goes through each of the aramaic/hebrew letters or “pictographs” and and provides meaning for each letter. For example – Grace (pronounced channah in the original text) is made up of the letters chet, nun, hey. These letters mean:

Grace: Channah
To protect and surround (chet)
His children (nun)
teaching them through revelation (hey)

So I thought perhaps I might try the exact same with this short verse to see if the meaning might be a little clearer. I am not saying the text below is what it should say. I am saying the text below provides the meaning behind what is said to the best of my ability. There will be some who will be amazed at what it says and others who simply pass it by.

The image attached shows each of the original words if you would like to check my work (happy for someone to do this). Here is what I found:

Daniel 9:27 – meaning behind the words

Through His Spirit He will gather his House with headship (Gabar) of His Family and through work and worship using the sign and (Beriyth) they will become a family through His Headship (Rab).

Through Yahuwah’s spiritual gifts movement will occur, (Echad) a cutting away leaving those of His house secured with spiritual sight and they will watch and know (Shabuwa).

The remembrance of His Sabbath through His Spirit (Zebach), which comes from His word will wash the seed,  protect them and provide revelation to them (Minchah), and it shall divide and be a sign for His house.

Subduing, the seed shall speak to those (Kanaph) separated, as the light dims and secured is the way (Shiqquwts).

Elohim will protect with His word (Shamem), and will guide, steer, protect them through revelation and through His spiritual gifts.

Through His thoughts He will lead them to the Way (Charats) to His seed, His sign, His door, protecting with His word.
