There are those who do not believe that Yahushua came to die and pay the price for our sins.
I found this study to be a real eye opener. I pray that all read it and not skip over it as it contains something incredible, which not many have seen.
This article focuses upon Psalms 110:1-5
So some believe that Yahushua was not Yahuwah in the flesh. It also appears some believe that David must have been Yahuwah in the flesh then. Why? Because these people are placing David at the right hand of Yahuwah according to Pslam 110:1 & 5. If David sits at the right hand of Yahuwah (verse 1) then verse 5 tells us that that person is Yahuwah.
Psalms 110
1 Yahuwah says to my Maschiach (the Messiah, His Son),“Sit at My right hand.
…
5 Yahuwah is at Your right hand, He will crush kings in the day of His wrath.
I am sure we would agree that David is not Yahuwah. There is only one who sits at the right hand of Yahuwah. Yahushua is Yahuwah in the flesh. He sits at the right hand for He is Yahuwah. There is even more proof in verse 4. Here we read that this person is a Melchizedek according the the order of them. Melchizedek comes from two words:
Melech (Melek) which means King.
Tzadiqe (zadek) which means Righteousness.
It says:
4 Yahuwah has sworn [an oath] and will not change His mind:“You are a priest foreverAccording to the order of Melchizedek.”
So whoever this person is he must be a Melchizedek forever. He must be a King and He must be a priest of righteousness. He must be a Melchizedek.
David was indeed a King, however David was not a priest of righteousness (A Melchizedek). He never became a priest of righteousness (A Melchizedek) according to the order.
For Jacob had Levi. Levi was where the priests of righteousness came from. Levi had Kohath. Kothath had Amram. Amram had Aaron. The order of the Melchizedek.
Jacob also had Judah. This is where the line of King David came from. The line of kings.
In Hebrews 7:11 we read:
11 Now if perfection had been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people were given the Law) what further need was there for another and different kind of priest to arise, one in the manner of the Melchizedek, rather than one appointed to the order of Aaron?
What need was there of another priesthood to arise in the manner of the priesthood which arose from Aaron? Aaron bought forth the Levitical priesthood. But the King of Righteousness came from the order of the Melchizedek. The king of righteousness came through Judah.
So where did Yahushua comes from? Yahushua came from the line of Judah. The line of Kings. Both Mary and Joseph are direct descendants of King David, who descended fro Judah. Thus Yahushua was born a king as we read in Matthew 2:2
Matthew 2:2
2 “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
Do Yahushua was a Melech. But he was not a Melchizedek. To become a Melchizedek he needed to be baptised but eh Tzadik to the time. That was none other than John the baptist. And so we see Yahushua coming before John to be baptised:
Matthew 3:13-15
13 Then Yahushua came from Galilee to John at the Jordan [River], to be baptised by him.
14 But John tried to prevent Him [vigorously protesting], saying, “It is I who need to be baptised by You, and do You come to me?”
15 But Yahushua replied to him, “Permit it just now; for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness. (tzadikah)” Then John permitted [it and baptised] Him.
Yahushuah was now a Melchizedek. But people might point out that there was already a Melchizedek at the time of Yahushua by the name of Ciaphas. Let’s take a look first at the Levitical law, the law the Jews of today still follow, and then look at what happened.
Firstly in Leviticus 5 we read that if someone is called to be a public witnesses and he knows somethings but does not report it, then He shall bear the guilt and be held responsible.
Leviticus 5:1
‘If anyone sins after he hears a public adjuration (solemn command to testify) when he is a witness, whether he has seen or [otherwise] known [something]—if he fails to report it, then he will bear his guilt and be held responsible.
Then in Leviticus 10 and 21 and in Exodus 28 we read that the priest shall not tear His garments or else He shall die.
Leviticus 10:6
6 Then Moses said to Aaron and to his [younger] sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “Do not uncover your heads nor let your hair hang loose nor tear your clothes, so that you will not die [also] and so that He will not express His wrath and anger toward all the congregation. But your relatives, the whole house of Israel, may mourn the burning which Yahuwah has brought about.Leviticus 21:10
10 ‘But he who is the high priest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil has been poured and who has been consecrated to wear the [sacred] garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes.Exodus 28:32
32 There shall be an opening at its top in the center [for the head], with a binding of woven work around the opening, like the opening in a coat of armor, so that it will not tear or fray.
So here we have an issue. Yahushua who is a Malki and John who is the legitimate Hight priest baptises Yahushua making Him the Melchizedek – a King of Righteousness. But there is Ciaphas up on the hill who is pretending to be a High Priest. If Yahushua is the legitimate High Priest He will have to deal with Ciaphas at some point. Lets look at Matthew 26:57-66 to see what occurred.
Matthew 26:57
57 Those who had seized Yahushua led Him away to Caiaphas, the high priest, where the scribes and the elders (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court) had gathered together.
58 But Peter followed Him at a distance as far as the courtyard of the [elegant home of the Jewish] high priest, and went inside, and sat with the guards to see the outcome.
59 Now the chief priests and the whole Council (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court) tried to get false witnesses to testify against Yahushua, so that they might [have a reason to] put Him to death.
60 They found none, even though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward,
61 and testified, “This man said, ‘I am able to tear down the temple of Yahuwah and rebuild it in three days.”
62 The high priest stood up and said to Yahushua, “Have You no answer to give? What is it that these men are testifying against You?”
63 But Yahushua kept silent. And the high priest said to Him, “I call on You to swear a binding oath by the living Elohim, that you tell us whether You are the Messiah, the Son of Elohim.”
Yahushua has now been put under the oath of Leviticus 5:1 and must reply truthfully. Yahushua has to tell them himself. So He tells them.
64 Yahushua said to him,“You have [in fact] said it; but more than that I tell you, in the future you will see [Me revealed as] the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Yahuwah, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65 Then the high priest tore his robes [in mock horror] and exclaimed, “……..
The priest tore his clothes and voided his role as the High Priest. He disqualified himself as the priest as has to die. He just did the in front of all the elders, in front of the Sanhedrin. So who was it who was going to officiate over the passover sacrifice that year? Ciaphas cannot. The only high priest in the nation that year was Yahushua the Messiah who officiates over His own sacrifice, not after the order of Levi but over the order of the Melchizedek.
……. “He has blasphemed! What further need have we of witnesses or evidence? See, you have now heard the blasphemy.
66 What do you think?” They answered, “He deserves to be put to death.”
Hypocrite! Ciaphas was guilty of death. Not Yahushua. They were so indoctrinated by their religion they could not even see that Ciaphas was the one guilty of Death. Today we have the same issue. Most Pasters and Rabbis are so indoctrinated by their religion they cannot see the wood for the trees. They cannot see the Melchizedek. Because thousands of people simply so the vain customs of man, and do not understand the things He did for us, they shall perish. Do not head down the broad road with many winding paths. Follow the narrow path.
Hebrews 7:20-21
20 And indeed it was not without the taking of an oath [that Yahushua was made priest]
Yahushua took the oath of Leviticus 5:1 as He had to. The answer so disturbed Ciaphas that He voided the Priesthood.
21 for those Levites who formerly became priests [received their office] without [its being confirmed by the taking of] an oath, but this One [was designated] with an oath through the One who said to Him,
“Yahuwah has swornAnd will not change His mind or regret it,‘You (Yahushua) are a Priest forever’”).
The Oath of the trespass offering is how Yahushua become the High priest.
Hebrews 7:28
28 For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak [frail, sinful, dying men], but the word of the oath, which came after [the institution of] the Law, permanently appoints [as priest] a Son who has been made perfect forever.
But the clothes of the High Priest were not torn. It is the only reason that Yahushuas “laundry list” is added to the text.
John 19
23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yahushua took His outer clothes and made four parts, a part for each soldier, and also the tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven [in one piece] from the top throughout.
24 So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it will be.” This was to fulfill the Scripture, “They divided My outer clothing among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.”
25 So the soldiers did these things.
The levitical priesthood is now abolished
Hebrews 10:9
9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” [And so] He does away with the first [covenant as a means of atoning for sin based on animal sacrifices] so that He may inaugurate and establish the second [covenant by means of obedience].
10 And in accordance with this will [of Yahuwah] we [who believe in the message of salvation] have been sanctified [that is, set apart as holy for Yahuwah and His purposes] through the offering of the body of Yahushua haMashiach (the Messiah, the Anointed) once for all.
11 Every priest stands [at his altar of service] ministering daily, offering the same sacrifices over and over, which are never able to strip away sins [that envelop and cover us];
12 whereas Yahushua, having offered the one sacrifice [the all-sufficient sacrifice of Himself] for sins for all time, sat down [signifying the completion of atonement for sin] at the right hand of Yahuwah[the position of honor],
— > Psalm 110:5 <—
13 waiting from that time onward until his enemies are made a footstool for His feet.
14 For by the one offering He has perfected forever and completely cleansed those who are being sanctified [bringing each believer to spiritual completion and maturity].
The High priest could only sit down once the sacrifice was fully consumed. As High priest He had to stand until the sacrifice was completed. Yahushua cannot sit down until …it is finished.
John 19:30
30 When Yahushua had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and [voluntarily] gave up His spirit.
Yahushua is the Melchizedek.
HI Rob Richmond,
