The mystery of the Melchizedek.

The following study comes from this video. You may note through the video that there are visual added in these notes. I added them as they make the study clearer.

Our war is not against flesh and blood. Our war is against principalities. Our war is against the vain traditions of men that bind us. The vain traditions of men that keep us shackled.

The myths. The cultural myths of society. The religious myths. The traditions which enslave each and every generation.

Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Each generation is accountable for the revelations provided to it. If we are faithful to the revelation of that generation which is poured out, then you are a Tzadik (Righteous one).

Tzadik/Zadik/Sadiq [tsaˈdik] (Hebrew: צדיק‎‎, “righteous one”, pl. tzadikim [tsadiˈkim] ṣadiqim) is a title given to people considered righteous, such as Biblical figures and later spiritual masters. The root of the word ṣadiq, is ṣ-d-q (tzedek), which means “justice” or “righteousness”, also the root of tzedakah (‘charity’, literally ‘righteousness’). The feminine term for a righteous person is tzadeikes/tzaddeket.

H6662   Tzadik – just, lawful, righteous

  • just, righteous (in government)
  • just, right (in one’s cause)
  • just, righteous (in conduct and character)
  • righteous (as justified and vindicated by God)
  • right, correct, lawful

H6666 – Tzadaqah

  • justice, righteousness

Melchizedek means our King is righteous

Malkiy-Tzadik is made up of the words

  • Melek – King
  • Tzadik – justice, rightness

Yahuwah calls us to walk in righteousness and holiness and it should not look like the culture. He draws His people unto Himself. We should be walking in His steps. Walking in His Sabbaths. Walking in His appointed times.

2 Timothy 2:15
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Matthew 7:6
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Those who are serious about the faith in Yahushua shall always be hated. They will always be marginalised. They will always be kicked to the kerb. That is a test to see if you are on the narrow road. If you are comfortable, and if you are embraced, and if you are sitting amongst thousands you are most probably deceived. That is a broad road that leads to destruction.

Matthew 7:13-14
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it.
14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.

Matthew 6:33
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of Yahuwah and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The Malkuwth – Kingdom
His Tzadiqah – Righteousness

Malkiy-Tzadik – The king who is righteous has a kingdom that is full of righteousness.

Romans 10:2
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of Yahuwah, but not according to knowledge.
3 For not knowing about Yahuwah’s righteousness [which is based on faith], and seeking to establish their own [righteousness based on works], they did not submit to Yahuwah’s righteousness.
4 For the Messiah is the goal of the law, for righteousness is for everyone who believes in Him.

This is the majority of the population today. People have the zeal for Him, but do not know the scriptures to back up what they say. The have the zeal for him but do not seek His righteousness (Tzadiqah). For Yahushua is our salvation  (Yah = Saviour  Shua = Salvation)

His word is to lead us to the Melchi- zedek (The king of righteousness). He does the work of healing us and cleansing us. It is not until we humble ourselves and allow ourselves to be cleansed that we can have these things revealed unto us. He will take away our past sins if only we shall walk in His righteousness.

Grace is important. But what does Grace mean?

H2580 – Chen

  • Favour, grace, acceptance

Grace means to find Favour in the sight of Yahuwah such that He accepts you. One cannot live in sin and hope to find favour in Yahuwah. Living in sin is living without the commandments of Yahuwah.

Grace – His acceptance of us, comes through following Him and keeping His commandments. His grace – his favour empowers you to keep the law and live a holy, just righteous life. It is His grace which empowers you to keep the commandments. It does not allow you to live a lawless life or live within the traditions of man (as many churches proclaim).

His Grace, His Favour is what convicts us to continue on to a higher calling. The  Melchizedek calling. The calling of king of Righteousness. The churches of today are not under His grace as the churches of today are not keeping the Law, but rather are keeping a man made tradition. The churches of today have been under Hs mercy as many of them do not understand the Sabbath day commandment. If they were under His Grace they would be keeping His Law.

Revelation 18:4-5
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not be a partner in her sins and receive her plagues;
5 for her sins (crimes, transgressions) have piled up as high as heaven, and Yahuwah has remembered her wickedness and crimes [for judgment].

In the tribulation the covering of mercy shall be removed and what is going to becomes of those who sing the song of grace while no longer having His mercy? Nothing more than deserved judgment for flaunting the word of Yahuwah.

Hebrews 10:26-28
26 For if we go on willfully and deliberately sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice [to atone] for our sins,
27 but a kind of awful and terrifying expectation of [divine] judgment and the fury of a fire and burning wrath which will consume the adversaries [those who put themselves in opposition to Yahuwah].
28 Anyone who has ignored and set aside the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Where did the Melchizedek come from?

How was it established and where do we see Yahushua even using this authority? The order of the Melchizedek is only mentioned three times in scripture, but once you eyes become wide open to Malkuwth Tzadiqah (Kingdom of Righteousness) everything else shall be added to it.

In the story of Abraham we see the Melchizedek as he returns from the recapture of Lot.

Bere’Shiyth (Genesis) 14:17-24
17 Then after Abram’s return from the defeat (slaughter) of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).

18 Melchizedek king of Salem (ancient Jerusalem) brought out bread and wine [for them]; he was the priest of Yahuwah Most High.

19 And Melchizedek blessed Abram and said,

“Blessed (joyful, favored) be Abram by Yahuwah Most High,
Creator and Possessor of heaven and earth;

20  And blessed, praised, and glorified be Yahuwah Most High,
Who has given your enemies into your hand.”

And Abram gave him a tenth of all [the treasure he had taken in battle].

21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people and keep the goods (spoils of battle) for yourself.”

22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand and sworn an oath to the Yahuwah Elohim Most High, the Creator and Possessor of heaven and earth,

23 that I would not take anything that is yours, from a thread to a sandal strap, so you could not say, ‘I [the King of Sodom] have made Abram rich.’

24 I will take nothing except what my young men have eaten, and the share of the spoils belonging to the men [my allies] who went with me—Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their share of the spoils.”

We see it again in Psalm 110

1 Yahuwah (Father) says to my Maschiach (the Messiah, His Son),
“Sit at My right hand
Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

2  Yahuwah will send the scepter of Your strength from Zion, saying,
“Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

3 Your people will offer themselves willingly [to participate in Your battle] in the day of Your power;
In the splendor of holiness, from the womb of the dawn,
Your young men are to You as the dew.

4 Yahuwah has sworn [an oath] and will not change His mind:
“You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”

5 Yahuwah is at Your right hand,
He will crush kings in the day of His wrath.

6  He will execute judgment [in overwhelming punishment] among the nations;

He will fill them with corpses,
He will crush the chief men over a broad country.

7 He will drink from the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He will lift up His head [triumphantly].

(N.B. Yahuwah sits at the right hand of Yahuwah. Yahuwah is the son. The son is Yahuwah.)

And again in Hebrews 5:5

Hebrews 5:5-6
5 So too Yahushua did not glorify Himself so as to be made a high priest, but He [was exalted and appointed by the One] who said to Him,

“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten (fathered) You”;

6 just as He also says in another place,

“You are a priest [appointed] forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”

Yahushua is in the proper sequence or order of the Melchizedek. He is in the sequence of the array of the Melchizedek. The word order comes from the word taxis.

  • Taxis – G5010
    • An arrangment
    • An order
    • A fixed succession observing a fixed time
    • An orderly condition.
    • A post or rank one holds.

We see this order being used in Luke 1

Luke 1:5-9
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

6 And they were both righteous (Tzadik) before Yahuwah, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of Yahuwah blameless.

7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

8 Now it happened while Zacharias was serving as priest before Yahuwah in the appointed order (taxis) of his priestly division,

9 as was the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of Yahuwah and burn incense.

There is no grammar in greek. Case in point:

1 Corinthians 10:23
23 All things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life].

One would read this and say “I can do anything. I can do what I want! Everything is lawful for me today”.

25 Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking any questions for the sake of your conscience, 26 For the [whole] earth is Yahuwah’s, and everything that is in it.

You can eat whatever you want. There is no issue.

This is what Grammar does to the book. What would those verses read like if the grammar was removed?

23 All things lawful are for me. But not everything is edifying. If it in the torah it is for you. But that doesn’t mean that everything in the torah is edifying for you. All things lawful are for you.

25 Everything in a meat market being sold – eat nothing. Ask questions for conscience sake.

We see this in the interlinear version (Click images to be taken to full site upon each verse):

In most of the translations we see, the greek word “meden” (verse 24 above) is left out and not translated.  It means nothing. By removing it from the scripture the meaning has been changed. Instrad of it saying eat nothing, people tend to read it as -> go ahead and eat.

i.e.

So the scripture says to ask questions about what you are eating. When your conscience is convicted of what you are about to eat, then eat.

2 Peter 2:4 with Grammar

4 For if Eloah did not spare angels that sinned, but threw them into hell and sent them to pits of gloom to be kept [there] for judgment; 5 and if He did not spare the ancient world, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought [the judgment of] a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes

2 Peter 2:4 without Grammar

4 For if Eloahs messengers who sinned did not spare, but with chains of thick gloom having cast them down to tartaris did deliver them to judgement 5 having been reserved and the old world did not spare, but the eighth person Noah or righteous (Tzadik)  a preacher did keep a flood on the world of the impius 6 having brought and the cities of sodom and gommrah having turned to ashes.

In that version there were not seven people with Noah, but Noah was the with person who was righteous. He was a Tzadik He was a preacher. A Preist. So Noah was the eighth in a sequential order of Righteous ones. Noah was the eighth Melchizedek. That means there were seven before Him and there were more after Him. Noah was the 10th generation as well.  The order was:

Jasher 16:11-12
11 And Adonizedek king of Jerusalem, the same was Shem, went out with his men to meet Abram and his people, with bread and wine, and they remained together in the valley of Melech.

12 And Adonizedek blessed Abram, and Abram gave him a tenth from all that he had brought from the spoil of his enemies, for Adonizedek was a priest before Yahuwah.

In Jeremiah 31 we learn that Yahushua made a new covenant with us. This is in the old covenant (the old testament) The verse is very telling.

Jeremiah 31:31-36
31 “Behold, the days are coming,” says Yahuwah, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,

32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says Yahuwah

33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahuwah,

“I will put My law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their Elohim, and they will be My people.

34 And each man will no longer teach his neighbour and his brother by saying, ‘Know Yahuwah,’

for they will all know Me [through personal experience], from the least of them to the greatest,” says Yahuwah.

“For I will forgive their wickedness, and I will no longer remember their sin.”

35 Thus says Yahuwah,
Who gives the sun for light by day
And the prescribed order of the moon and of the stars for light by night,
Who stirs up the sea’s roaring billows or stills the waves when they roar;
The Yahuwah of hosts is His name:

36 “If this prescribed order departs
From before Me,” says Yahuwah,
“Then the descendants of Israel also will cease
From being a nation before Me forever.”

He tells us again in Hebrews 8 (in the renewed covenant – new testament)

Hebrews 8:7-13
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion for a second one or an attempt to institute another one [the new covenant].

8 However, Yahuwah finds fault with them [showing its inadequacy] when He says,

“Behold, the days will come, says Yahuwah,
When I will make and ratify a new covenant
With the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;

9  Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers
On the day when I took them by the hand
To lead them out of the land of Egypt;
For they did not abide in My covenant,
And so I withdrew My favour and disregarded them, says Yahuwah.

10  “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
After those days, says Yahuwah:
I will imprint My laws upon their minds [even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding],
And engrave them upon their hearts [effecting their regeneration].
And I will be their Elohim,
And they shall be My people.

11 “And it will not be [necessary] for each one to teach his fellow citizen,
Or each one his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahuwah,’
For all will know Me,
From the least to the greatest of them.

12 “For I will be merciful and gracious toward their wickedness,
And I will remember their sins no more.”

13 When Yahuwah speaks of “A new covenant,” He makes the first one obsolete. And whatever is becoming obsolete (out of use, annulled) and growing old is ready to disappear.

The commandments went from being written in physical form to being placed upon our hearts.

Hebrews 10:26-31
26 For if we go on willfully and deliberately sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice [to atone] for our sins [that is, no further offering to anticipate],

29 How much greater punishment do you think he will deserve who has rejected and trampled under foot the Son of Yahuwah, and has considered unclean and common the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay [the wrongdoer].” And again, “Yahuwah will judge His people.”

31 It is a fearful and terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living Elohim [incurring His judgment and wrath].

Abraham meets the Melchizedek. The Melchizedek is Shem as we now know. Shem was the 9th in the order. Noah was the 8th in the order (2nd Peter 2:4), Adam was the first in that order and moses was the last in that order until the final Melchizedek would come. Death rained from Adam to Moses.

Romans 5:14 (renewed covenant)
14 Yet death ruled [over mankind] from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who had not sinned as Adam did. Adam is a type of Him (Yahushua) who was to come [but in reverse—Adam brought destruction, Yahushua brought salvation].

Abrams has just defeated four kings.

  • Amraphel of Shinar
  • Arioch of Ellasar
  • Chedorlaomer of Elam
  • Tidal of Goiim

Chedorlaomer had made war against Sodom and had taken Abrams Nephew Lot, captive. So Abram went  and defeated Chedorlaomer to get is Nephew back. The King of Sodom and the King of Salem (the Melchizedek) go to see Abram.

Genesis 14:17
17 Then after Abram’s return from the defeat (slaughter) of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).

18 Melchizedek king of Salem (ancient Jerusalem) brought out bread and wine [for them]; he was the priest of  God Most High.

Then the Melchizedek, who was the King of Salem (which means to be complete  and is similar to the word Shalom which means peace – Salem became Yahrusalem – Jerusalem we know today) blesses Abram and makes peace.

Genesis 14:19-20
19 And Melchizedek blessed Abram and said,

“Blessed (joyful, favored) be Abram by Elohim Most High,
Creator and Possessor of heaven and earth;

20  And blessed, praised, and glorified be Elohim Most High,
Who has given your enemies into your hand.”

And Abram gave him a tenth of all [the treasure he had taken in battle].

Have you wondered why are not the other kings mentioned by name, but the king Chedorlaomer is? The king who Abram just slaughtered is mentioned by name? Chedalomar is a descendant of Shem. Chedalomar is a descendant of the Melchizedek. Abrams just slaughtered one of the Melchizedeks family.

Chedalomar was King of Elam. And Elam was a son of Shem.

Genesis 10:22
22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud and Aram;

Abrams was one of Shems descendants to through Aphrixhad.

540px-Genealogy_shem

Shem, the Melchizedek shows up because is is a family feud. He as the governor, as the Melchizedek is going to come and negotiate a peace treaty. Abram is going to pay him a tenth of all and they are going to break bread and drink some wine so there is not a mass slaughter. Abrams has got caught up in a family feud with the Melchizedek high clan leader.

Yahushua was the one who was coming to bring peace to a family feud after a great war between kingdoms and nations. Yahushua is the king of Shalom (Peace).

Psalm 2:1-3
1 Why are the nations in an uproar [in turmoil against Yahuwah],
And why do the people devise a vain and hopeless plot?

2 The kings (Melekhim) of the earth take their stand;
And the rulers take counsel together
Against Yahuwah and His Anointed saying,

3  “Let us break apart their [divine] bands
And cast away their cords [of control] from us.” (the traditions of their fathers)

Here we see them trying to cast away the traditions of their Melchizedek (Kings of righteousness) fathers. The wanted to break bands, the  traditions, of the Melchizedek Fathers before them of Adam, Seth, Enosh etc etc.

The word bands in Psalm 2:3 comes from the hebrew word mowcer.

H4147 – Mowcer

  • Means Band or bond
  • To halt or restrain.
  • From the root word ‘car

H631 – Acar

  • To tie or bind

In this context mowcer means the customs of the Melchizedek. The people in this family battle were warring against the priesthood. The same way that is happening today, people are waring against the priesthood of Yahushua. Today people would rather follow the levitical traditions or be lawless. Anything but follow the commandments of Yahuwah.

Psalm 2:4-9
4 He who sits in the heavens laughs [at their rebellion];

Yahuwah scoffs at them.

5 Then He will speak to them in His [profound] anger
And terrify them with His displeasure, saying,

“Yet as for Me, I have anointed and firmly installed My King (Melek)
Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

“I will declare the decree of Yahuwah:
He said to Me, ‘You are My Son;
This day I have bought You forth.

‘Ask of Me, and I will assuredly give [You] the nations as Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth as Your possession.

‘You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall shatter them [in pieces] like a potters vessel”

The war between the sons of Abram, that is between Isaac and IshmaEl sons, was again because Isaac became the Melchizedek and IshmaEl did not.

Isaiah 61 in the dead sea scrolls says

Isaiah 61:2
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Melchizedek
And the day of vengeance of our Elohim
To comfort all that mourn

The hebrew word said that it was to proclaim the acceptable year of the Melchizedek. Yahuwah is the Melchizedek. The Tzadokites where actually in the temple. They where the one who were leading the priesthood, until Antiochus came in with the time of the Macabees, and then there was the Hasmonean dynasty. At that point the Tzadokites  were thrown out of the temple taking nothing with them expect the scrolls. They were the poor and went by the from Damascus to the area known as the area of Qumran. That is where we get the dead sea scrolls from. They were there waiting for the Melchizedek to redeem them, and they understood that the Melchizedek what Yahuwah who sat at Yahuwahs right hand.

You have to be Priest before you can sacrifice an animal otherwise it means nothing. The High priest would stand to officiate over the sacrifice. Only once the sacrifice was fully consumed can that Priest sit down. He has to wait until the sacrifice is finished. It is finished it the the key phrase.

Prophets have a device message. Priests had to have an alter and a sacrifice. Kingdoms must have a King. Let’s see how Yahushua completed these roles in perfect sequencing to be able to provide our redemption. Lets see if the priesthood is available to the circumcised of heart today.

Matthew 1 establishes that  Yahushua is a king, a Malki by covering the genealogy of Yahushua.

genealogyYahushua

In Matthew chapter 2 we see that Yahushua was born King of the Jews.

Matthew 2:2
2 “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”

The mantle of Priesthood however is always handed down my ritual immersion – Mikva – baptism. The Jordan river is a geographic point of change. Principalities study your genealogy and they operate geographically.

John the baptist was the legal high priest, but he was not going up to operate in the temple. Why? Because it was sick, perverted and twisted like religion today. He was the legal High priest. Yahushua was already the Malki (the king). Yahushua the king comes to John the baptist the high priest and says

Matthew 3:13
13 Then Yahushua came from Galilee to  Yochanan (John) at the Jordan [River], to be baptized by him.

14 But Yochanan (John) tried to prevent Him [vigorously protesting], saying, “It is I who need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?”

15 But Yahushua replied to him, “Permit it just now; for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness. (tzadikah)” Then Yochanan  (John) permitted [it and baptized] Him.

Yochanan had to allow it to be so, because Yahushua was a Malchi already but as Yochanan was the High Preist needed to immerse Yahushua as the Melchi and he would rise as the Malchizedek. The priesthood authority was to be transferred to Yahushua.  Yahushua is now the King of Righteousness. He is the Melchizedek through transference.

Hebrews 7:11
11 Now if perfection had been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people were given the Law) what further need was there for another and different kind of priest to arise, one in the manner of the Melchizedek, rather than one appointed to the order of Aaron?

12 For when there is a transference in the priesthood, there is of necessity a  transference of the law [concerning the priesthood] as well.

13 For the One of whom these things are said belonged [not to the priestly line of Levi but] to another tribe, from which no one has officiated or served at the altar.

The scripture above shows that the order of Melchizedek was to come from Aaron. When the Priesthood changed to Yahushua. He got rid of the Levitical law, and left the ten commandments. He moved them from being written on tablets of stone in side the temple, to hearts of flesh, inside the temple. That temple is us. Our body.

2 Corinthians 3

3 You show that you are a letter from Yahushua, delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living Elohim, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

archeology-exodus-route-sinai-levitical-priesthood-levi-gershomites-kohathites-merarites-aaronic-zadok-asaph-heman-ethan-abiathar-eli-sadducees-annas-caiaphas-ananias

The book of the covenant is Royal Law. When that covenant was broken with the sin of the golden calf, Yahuwah was going to slaughter all of YisraEl. Moses, pleads and intercedes for YisraEl. Yahuwah placed them under the book of the Law, making it a tutor for them which was to keep them safe and protect them until the time of reformation when the seed will come and there will be a transference of the priesthood. He shall then die, paying the death penalty position and shall bring in a new covenant of Royal Law and you shall be back and walk as Abraham Isaac and Jacob did.

Perfection never came through the levitical priesthood, it could never be obtained. It was a temporary school master to train them up with a payment each and every day of blood. It stopped Yahuwah from calling in the debt. Once the debt was paid then they were able to gob into Royal law.

So what about Ciaphas? The High Preist who was operating in Jerusalem? Lets look at the background the the High priest and look at the trespass offering and see how it will effect Yahushua’s qualifications.

Leviticus 5:1
1 ‘If anyone sins after he hears a public adjuration (solemn command to testify) when he is a witness, whether he has seen or [otherwise] known [something]—if he fails to report it, then he will bear his guilt and be held responsible.

If someone hears and oath and is a witness of it and knows the truth, but does not reveal the truth then you will be in sin and bear the judgement.

Leviticus 10:6
6 Then Moses said to Aaron and to his [younger] sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “Do not uncover your heads nor let your hair hang loose nor tear your clothes, so that you will not die [also] and so that He will not express His wrath and anger toward all the congregation. But your relatives, the whole house of Israel, may mourn the burning which Yahuwah has brought about.

Leviticus 21:10
10 ‘But he who is the high priest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil has been poured and who has been consecrated to wear the [sacred] garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes.

If the priest tore His clothes He would annul his position. Yahuwah made provisions that this should not occur.

Exodus 28:32
32 There shall be an opening at its top in the center [for the head], with a binding of woven work around the opening, like the opening in a coat of armor, so that it will not tear or fray.

So we have an issue. Yahushua who is a Malki and John who is the legitimate Hight priest Baptises Yahushua making Him the Melkzedek – a King of Righteousness. But there is Ciaphas up on the hill who is pretending to be a High Priest. If Yahushua is the legitimate High Priest we have to deal with Ciaphas at some point.

Matthew 26:57-63
57 Those who had seized Yahushua led Him away to Caiaphas, the high priest, where the scribes and the elders (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court) had gathered together.

58 But Peter followed Him at a distance as far as the courtyard of the [elegant home of the Jewish] high priest, and went inside, and sat with the guards to see the outcome.

59 Now the chief priests and the whole Council (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court) tried to get false witnesses to testify against Yahushua, so that they might [have a reason to] put Him to death.

60 They found none, even though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward,

61 and testified, “This man said, ‘I am able to tear down the temple of Yahuwah and rebuild it in three days.”

62 The high priest stood up and said to Yahushua, “Have You no answer to give? What is it that these men are testifying against You?”

63 But Yahushua kept silent. And the high priest said to Him, “I call on You to swear a binding oath by the living Elohim, that you tell us whether You are the Messiah, the Son of Elohim.”

Yahushua has now been put under the oath of Leviticus 5:1 and must reply truthfully.

64 Yahushua said to him,“You have [in fact] said it; but more than that I tell you, in the future you will see [Me revealed as] the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Yahuwah, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Yahushua has to tell them himself. So He tells them.

65 Then the high priest tore his robes [in mock horror] and exclaimed, “……..

The priest tore his clothes and voided his role as the High Priest. He disqualified himself as the priest as has to die. He just did the in front of all the elders, in front of the Sanhedrin. So who was it who was going to officiate over the passover sacrifice that year? Ciaphas cannot. The only high priest in the nation that year was Yahushua the Messiah who officiates over His own sacrifice, not after the order of Levi but over the order of the Melchizedek.

“He has blasphemed! What further need have we of witnesses or evidence? See, you have now heard the blasphemy.

66 What do you think?” They answered, “He deserves to be put to death.”

Hypocrite! Ciaphas was guilty of death. Not Yahushua. They were so indoctrinated by their religion they could not even see that Ciaphas was the one guilty of Death. Today we have the same issue. Most Pasters and Rabbis are so indoctrinated by their religion they cannot see the wood for the trees.

They cannot see the Melchizedek. Because thousands of people simply so the vain customs of man, and do not understand the things He did for us, they shall perish.

Follow the Saviour and find His people. Do not head down the broad road with many winding paths. Follow the narrow path.

Hebrews 7:20
20 And indeed it was not without the taking of an oath [that Yahushua was made priest]

(Ciaphas put Him under the oath, Yahushua spoke the oath and then Ciaphas nullified His preisthood)

21 for those Levites who formerly became priests [received their office] without [its being confirmed by the taking of] an oath, but this One [was designated] with an oath through the One who said to Him,

“Yahuwah has sworn
And will not change His mind or regret it,
‘You (Yahushua) are a Priest forever’”).

The Oath of the trespass offering is how Yahushua become the High priest.

Hebrews 7:28
28 For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak [frail, sinful, dying men], but the word of the oath, which came after [the institution of] the Law, permanently appoints [as priest] a Son who has been made perfect forever.

But the clothes of the High Priest were not torn. It is the only reason that Yahushuas “laundry list” is added to the text.

John 19:23-25

23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yahushua took His outer clothes and made four parts, a part for each soldier, and also the tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven [in one piece] from the top throughout.

24 So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it will be.” This was to fulfill the Scripture, “They divided My outer clothing among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.”

25 So the soldiers did these things.

The levitical priesthood is now abolished

Hebrews 10:9-12

9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” [And so] He does away with the first [covenant as a means of atoning for sin based on animal sacrifices] so that He may inaugurate and establish the second [covenant by means of obedience].

10 And in accordance with this will [of Yahuwah] we [who believe in the message of salvation] have been sanctified [that is, set apart as holy for Yahuwah and His purposes] through the offering of the body of Yahushua haMashiach (the Messiah, the Anointed) once for all.

11 Every priest stands [at his altar of service] ministering daily, offering the same sacrifices over and over, which are never able to strip away sins [that envelop and cover us];

12 whereas Yahushua, having offered the one sacrifice [the all-sufficient sacrifice of Himself] for sins for all time, sat down [signifying the completion of atonement for sin] at the right hand of Yahuwah[the position of honor],

— > Psalm 110:5 <—

13 waiting from that time onward until his enemies are made a footstool for His feet.

14 For by the one offering He has perfected forever and completely cleansed those who are being sanctified [bringing each believer to spiritual completion and maturity].

The High priest could only sit down once the sacrifice was fully consumed. As High priest He had to stand until the sacrifice was completed. Yahushua cannot sit down until …it is finished.

John 19:30

30 When Yahushua had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and [voluntarily] gave up His spirit.

Of all the prophets there was none greater than John the baptist.

Luke 7:28
28 I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet he who is least in the kingdom of Yahuwah is greater [in privilege] than he.”

He who is least in the kingdom of the the Melchizedek is greater than he who is greatest in the Levitical priesthood. You and I are greater than a prophet from Levi.

We need to get on the Path which Yahushua followed. The appointed times the Sabbaths, the dietary commandments

The physical temple is no longer. The physical law is no longer. The temple is within us. His law is within us.

1 Corinthians 3:16

16 Do you not know and understand that you are the temple of Yahuwah, and that the Ruach of Elohim dwells [permanently] in you?

17 If anyone destroys the temple of Yahuwah [corrupting it with false doctrine], Yahuwah will destroy the destroyer; for the temple of Elohim is holy (sacred), and that is what you are.

Jeremiah 31

33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahuwah, “I will put My law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their Elohim, and they will be My people.
