Who are the 144,000?

In Revelation 21 we see the new Yahrushalem coming out of heaven.

Revelation 21:10-14
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a vast and lofty mountain, and showed me the holy (sanctified) city of Yahrushalom coming down out of heaven from Elohim,
11 having Elohim’s glory. The brilliance of it resembled a rare and very precious jewel, like jasper, shining and clear as crystal.
12 It had a massive and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of YisraEL were written. 13 On the east side [there were] three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb (The Messiah).

We find here a description of the new Yahrushalem. The new Yahrushalem has 12 gates. And on the gates is one of the names of the 12 sons of Jacob (YisraEl). What are those names? We are told this in Revelation 7.

Revelation 7:1-3
1 After this I saw four angels stationed at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.
2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the rising of the sun, holding the seal of the living Elohim; and with a loud voice he called out to the four angels to whom it was granted [to have authority and power] to harm the earth and the sea,
saying, “Do not harm the earth nor the sea nor the trees until we seal (mark) the bond-servants of our Elohim on their foreheads.”

Here we find the start of the great tribulation which is soon to come upon the world. When the winds are released, that is the tribulation. A time of trouble that has never been seen before in the history of the world.

The reason for the sealing is to identify those who are going to go through the tribulation so that their lives are preserved and spared. That is the reason why the scripture tells us that before the winds are released that these servants are sealed with a mark upon their foreheads. It is a mark of protection for the people of Yahuwah, who shall go through the tribulation when the winds of strife are released.

The word we see as “mark” is the same word we read as “seal”. A mark and a seal are the same thing. It comes from the word “owth” in the old covenant and as “charagma” in the renewed covenant.

We read in Deuteronomy and Ezekiel of the sign (or mark) that represents those who follow Yahuwah. These people keep His commandments. It distingusihes them from the rest.

Deuteronomy (Debarim) 6:6-8
6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

Deuteronomy (Debarim) 11:13,18
13 ‘And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love Yahuwah your Elohim and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.

18 “Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

Ezekiel 20:11-12
11 I gave them My statutes and explained My ordinances to them, which, if a man keeps, he will live.
12 Also I gave them My Sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know [without any doubt] that I am Yah who sanctifies them.

If you continue to read Ezekiel 20:13-32, You shall see that YisraEl reject Yahuwah and instead follow the gentiles and become as a prostitute (verse 30) – the same as what we see in Revelation 17.

So who are these ones who receive this seal? In Revelation 7 we see the names of the tribes mentioned in Revelation 21:

Revelation 7:4-8
4 And I heard how many were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand; [twelve thousand] sealed from every tribe of the sons of YisraEl:

5  Twelve thousand were sealed from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand from the tribe of Gad,
6 twelve thousand from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand from the tribe of Manasseh,
7  twelve thousand from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand from the tribe of Issachar,
8  twelve thousand from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand from the tribe of Joseph, and twelve thousand from the tribe of Benjamin were sealed (marked, redeemed, protected).

When will this 144,000 live in the History of the world? There is no doubt whatsover as we examine the book of Revelation that the 144,000 will be those who shall be alive at the return of Yahushua. How do we know? Revelation 6 tells us this very clearly.

Revelation 6:15-17
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the military commanders and the wealthy and the strong and everyone, slave or free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;
16 and they called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne, and from the [righteous] wrath and indignation of the Lamb;
17 for the great day of their wrath and vengeance and retribution has come, and who is able to stand?”

This is describing the second coming of the Messiah.  The time of the end. The great day of His wrath.  It then asks us who is it who is able to stand through this? The answer is in the next chapter, which we have just covered. The 144,000 are the ones sealed so they are not harmed during this period. Those who are following His commandments.

So if YisraEl has rejected Yahuwah, then who are the 144,000 today? Are they still literal Jews? Shall Yahuwah save literal Jews in literal Israel or is this referring to spiritual Israelites who have the characteristics of the sons of Jacob which later became the tribes of YisraEl? What does the renewed covenant mean by the word YisraEl?

These people are going to be able to stand in the day of Wrath. They have the seal of Elohim on their forehead. They are going to be saved. If they are going to be saved and they are YisraEl we need to understand what YisraEl means in the renewed covenant. Romans says:

Romans 2:28-29
28 For he is not a [real] Jew who is only one outwardly, nor is [true] circumcision something external and physical.
29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and [true] circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Ruach (Spirit), not by the letter. His praise is not from men, but from Elohim.

YisraEl are those who have circumcised hearts. Who have been converted to Yahushua haMaschiach as their saviour and Messiah. `That is the true YisraEl.

Galatians 3:16
16 Now the promises [in the covenants] were decreed to Abraham and to his seed. Elohim does not say, “And to seeds (descendants, heirs),” as if [referring] to many [persons], but as to one, “And to your Seed,” who is the Messiah.

….

27 For all of you who were baptized into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah [that is, you have taken on His characteristics and values].
28 There is [now no distinction in regard to salvation] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you [who believe] are all one in Yauhshua haMachiach [no one can claim a spiritual superiority].
29 And if you belong to the Messiah, then you are Abraham’s descendants, and [spiritual] heirs according to [Elohim’s] promise.

The children of Abraham are those who belong the Messiah. YisraEl is not defined by what blood we have, by what place we live or by what surname we have, YisraEl is defined as those who have accepted Yahushua as our Saviour and Messiah. This is a spiritual relationship which is how YisraEl is defined.

This applies to the 144,000 which are described as the tribes of YisrEl. The 144,000 are those who have received Yahushua as their Savoiur and their Messiah and they follow the commandments of Yahuwah.

Revelation 14:12
12 Here is [encouragement for] the steadfast endurance of the saints (Elohim’s people), those who habitually keep Elohim’s commandments and their faith in Yahushua.

In Romans 9 we see this again. It is perfectly clear in this section of scripture:

Romans 9:6-8
6 However, it is not as though Elohim’s word has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel (Jacob) are [the true] Israel;
7 and they are not all the children of Abraham because they are his descendants [by blood], but [the promise was]: “Your descendants will be named through Isaac” [though Abraham had other sons].
8 That is, it is not the children of the body [Abraham’s natural descendants] who are Elohim’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are counted as [Abraham’s true] descendants.

And what was the promise?

1 John 2:25
25 This is the promise which He Himself promised us—eternal life.

And this is reflected in 2 Peter where we learn that He does not want any to perish. He wishes they would all have eternal life.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

So what is it that the 144,000 do differently to the world? Revelation 14:12 (above) tells us. This is reflected again in Revelation 22:14

Revelation 22:14
14 Blessed (happy, prosperous) are those who do His commandments, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.

Those who keep His commandments are allowed to go into the city through the gates. We see these people being called overcomers.

Revelation 21:7
He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his Elohim and he will be My son.

We see this after each message in Revelation 2 and 3

Revelation 2
7 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant [the privilege] to eat [the fruit] from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of Elohim.

11 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.’

17 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes to him I will give [the privilege of eating] some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone with a new name engraved on the stone which no one knows except the one who receives it.’

26 And he who overcomes  and he who keeps My deeds until the [very] end, to him I will give authority and power over the nations;
27 and he shall shepherd and rule them with a rod of iron, as the earthen pots are broken in pieces, as I also have received authority [and power to rule them] from My Father;
28 and I will give him the Morning Star.
29 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches.’

Revelation 3
5 He who overcomes will accordingly be dressed in white clothing; and I will never blot out his name from the Book of Life, and I will confess and openly acknowledge his name before My Father and before His angels [saying that he is one of Mine].
6 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches.’

12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My Elohim; he will most certainly never be put out of it, and I will write on him the name of My Elohim, and the name of the city of My Elohim, the new Yahrushalem, which descends out of heaven from My Elohim, and My new name.
13 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches.’

21 He who overcomes, I will grant to him [the privilege] to sit beside Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down beside My Father on His throne.
22 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

These people shall live through the toughest time in the history of the earth. These shall have the victory over the beast over his image and over the number of his name.

Revelation 15
2 Then I saw something like a sea or large expanse of glass mixed with fire, and those who were victorious over the beast and over his image and over the number  of his name, were standing on the sea or large expanse of glass, holding harps of Elohim

Revelation 22:11 is describing the close of the time of probation. It says:

Revelation 22:11
11 Let the one who does wrong, continue to act wrong; and the one who is filthy (vile, impure), let him continue to act filthy; and the one who is righteous (just, upright), continue to act righteously; and the one who is holy, continue to act in a holy manner.”

Afer this occurs, the time of Harvest is at hand. We see the time of harvest in Revelation 14. We see some as the first fruits and we see some as the grapes. The first fruits are those who have not had relations with others making them pure. This means that they have not gone off and left their first love, the messiah. They have kept themselves pure for Him and have washed their robes in His blood, making them white again.

Revelation 14
4 These are the ones who have not been defiled [by relations] with women, for they are celibate. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased and redeemed from among men [of Israel] as the first fruits for Elohim and the Lamb.
5 No lie was found in their mouth, for they are blameless.

The grapes are the wicked, who are crushed in the wine press. Wine, a type of alcohol, makes people drunk and prevents them from seeing clearly. And likewise it is a drunk who will profess things which are a lie as truth which is a result of not thinking straight due to the alcohol.

The scriptures tell us that those who follow the beast are the ones who drink of this wine. Here we learn that the seal of the beast is in the same place as the Seal of Yahuwah – upon the forehead and upon the hand.

Revelation 14:9-11
9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “Whoever worships the beast and his image and receives the mark [the seal of the beast] on his forehead or on his hand,
10 he too will [have to] drink of the wine of the wrath of Elohim, which is mixed undiluted into the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone (flaming sulfur) in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night—those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark (the seal) of his name.”

If the seal of Yahuwah is following His commandments, the seal of the beast is not following His commandments. This is confirmed in the very next verse:

Revelation 14:12
12 Here is [encouragement for] the steadfast endurance of the saints, those who habitually keep Yahwah’s commandments and their faith in Yahshua.

Then we see the harvest taking place and this time the wicked, the grapes, are crushed.

Revelation 14:18-20
18 And another angel came from the altar, the one who has power over fire; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Put in your sharp sickle and reap the clusters of grapes from the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe [for judgment].”
19 So the angel swung his sickle to the earth and harvested the grapevine of the earth, and threw the grapes into the great wine press of the wrath and indignation of Yahuwah [as judgment of the rebellious world].
20 And the grapes in the wine press were trampled and crushed outside the city, and blood poured from the wine press, reaching up to the horses’ bridles, for a distance of sixteen hundred stadia.

This time is speaking of the appointed time of Harvest. The end of the tribulation. Many are not aware that the appointed time of harvest is known as pentecost. We see this in Exodus 23.

Exodus 23:16
16 Also [you shall observe] the appointed time of Harvest (Weeks, Pentecost, or First Fruits), acknowledging the first fruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field.

We see the same event spoken of in Deuteronomy 16

Deuteronomy 16:9-12,
9 “You shall count seven weeks for yourself; begin to count the seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain.
10 Then you shall keep the Appointed time of Harvest to Yahuwah thy Elohim with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you shall give as Yahuwah thy Elohim blesses you.
11 You shall rejoice before Yahuwah thy Elohim, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, the Levite who is within your gates, the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are among you, at the place where Yahuwah thy Elohim chooses to make His name abide.
12 And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.
…..
16 “Three times a year all your males shall appear before Yahuwah thy Elohim in the place which He chooses: at the appointed time of Unleavened Bread, at the appointed time of Harvest, and at the appointed time of Ingathering; and they shall not appear before Yahuwah empty-handed.
17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of Yahuwah thy Elohim  which He has given you.

The appointed time of harvest is sometimes called the appointed time of weeks because some translators have chosen to assume that the word Sabbath could be replaced with the word weeks. The word Sabbath, however, comes from the word for “cease”. It does not mean “seven” or “weeks”. A Sabbath day was a day of rest. A day where one would cease from gainful work.

Whilst it is true that the seventh day after six work days is a day of rest, it is also true that the Sabbath is held upon the first day of the seventh new moon and the 10th day of the seventh new moon, which do not fall in a seven-day cycle.

It is also true that the calendar in the scriptures goes from one new moon to another new moon and not from one international date line to another. The days therefore in the scriptures are counted differently to that what we see on the gregorian calendar, as their starting point is different.

We see  Yahushua was raised upon the 16th day of the first month. This day was the first working day of the week, for the first day of the month in scripture is a new moon day, and is not a working day. 2 x 7 days = 14 days. New Moon day raises this to 15 days. The next day, the 16th is the first day of the week and was the appointed time of first fruits.

Interestingly, this is not the appointed time of Harvest, however. The first fruits to Yahuwah are picked at the appointed time of harvest. If Yahushua was raised on the 16th, we should be looking to the same time for the first fruits of this harvest. And the 16th day of the third month is when seven Sabbaths are complete.

In Revelation 14 we read of the sickle. A sickle was a tool used in harvesting. We read about the sickle in Mark 4:26-29

Mark 4:26-29
26 Then He said, “The kingdom of Yahuwah is like a man who throws seed on the ground; 27 and he goes to bed at night and gets up every day, and [in the meantime] the seed sprouts and grows; how [it does this], he does not know.
28 The earth produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head [of grain], then the mature grain in the head.
29 But when the crop ripens, the immediately puts in the sickle [to reap], because [the time for] the harvest has come.”

When we look in the sky, we also see a sickle. The sickle itself is in the system of Leo – the Lion’s head.

The appointed time of harvest speaks of the end of the 1335 days. Upon the other side, that is the start of the tribulation, we see a different event taking place. This is before any of the trumpets blow.

It starts again with the 144,00 being marked as we saw earlier in Revelation 7. Then in Revelation 8 we see an event take place which points to an event we saw in Leviticus 16. Let’s look:

Revelation 8:1-7
1  When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before Yahuwah, and to them were given seven trumpets.

3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before Yahuwah from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.

6 So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

Leviticus 16:12-16
12 Then he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from the altar before Yahuwah, with his hands full of sweet incense beaten fine, and bring it inside the veil.

13 And he shall put the incense on the fire before Yahuwah, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the Testimony, lest he die.

14 He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

The event we see being described here is the appointed time of atonement.  The items we see described in Leviticus are to occur here on earth, whilst the things described in Revelation are to take place in the actual Holy of Holies in Heaven.

The things which took place here were to be a reflection such that we might understand the things taking place.  In Leviticus, we see a censer full of fire from the altar which came from before Yahuwah and had sweet incense added to it.

This is what we see taking place in Revelation with a Censer  coming before the altar containing much incense which was before the throne – or the mercy seat. The mercy seat was situated inside the Holy of Holies.  In Revelation, we see what the smoke of incense represents when we see the prayers of the saints going before Yahuwah.

In Leviticus 16 we see one of the goats being killed. and the blood being sprinkled upon the mercy seat. This is what occurred with the blood of the son as He died upon the cross (see Ron Wyatt for proof of this). His blood was sprinkled upon the mercy seat.

After this atonement has been made we read how Aaron placed his hands upon the head of a live goat and confessed the wickedness and the transgressions  in regards to the sins of the people and then sent it away by the hand of a man who was prepared for the task.

Leviticus 16:20-22
20 “When he has finished atoning for the Holy Place and the Tent of Meeting and the altar, he shall present the live goat.
21 Then Aaron shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the wickedness of the sons of Israel and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins; and he shall lay them on the head of the goat [the scapegoat, the sin-bearer], and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is prepared [for the task].
22 The goat shall carry on itself all their (the Israelites) wickedness, carrying them to a solitary (infertile) land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

This seems to reflect what we see of the pure woman in Revelation 12. This woman is pure. Yet she is sent away into the wilderness for 1260 days away from the presence of the serpent. Sending the goat into the wilderness was a type of persecution.

Yahushua was the same in the sense that he also had not sinned and yet was persecuted. The same as adding the transgressions of the people upon Him. The difference between these two is that this woman does not die, but rather she is kept safe from the presence of the serpent.

Revelation 12:13-14
13 And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who had given birth to the male Child.
14 But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time (three and one-half years), away from the presence of the serpent (Satan).

The appointed time of atonement indicates the start of the trumpets, but does it indicate the start of the tribulation? We see events in Revelation taking place right before this.

Firstly there is a sign. The sign shows the start of these events. The sign is spoken of in Revelation 12. Then we see the woman flee. We now know that the woman flees at the appointed time of atonement (A sabbath day). And Revelation 12 shows us an event which takes place right before the woman flees.

Revelation 12:1-4
1 And a great sign [warning of an ominous and frightening future event] appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
2 She was with child (the Messiah) and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

3 Then another sign [of warning] was seen in heaven: behold, a great fiery red dragon (Satan) with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven royal crowns (diadems).
4 And his tail swept [across the sky] and dragged away a third of the stars of heaven and flung them to the earth. And the dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.

5 And she gave birth to a Son, a male Child, who is destined to rule (shepherd) all the nations with a rod of iron; and her Child was caught up to Elohim and to His throne.
6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by Elohim, so that she would be nourished there for a thousand two hundred and sixty days (forty-two months; three and one-half years).

We learn in Genesis 1:14 that the sun moon and the stars are provided for His signs as well as His appointed times. We should expect therefore that these signs we are to see in the sky spoke of in Revelation 12 match the appointed time of trumpets. Is there an appointed time of trumpets which has this sign?

Yes. Upon the gregorian calendar which most people use, this is found on the 23rd of September 2017. This day is the appointed time of trumpets and it si also the day that this sign is seen in the sky. Here is a short video about it:

In Isaiah 42 we read of a promise of things to occur. It tells us that Yahuwah has Yahushua as a covenant to His people. He tells us He will not give His glory to carve images. He tells us that before things take place he will tell us of them.

Isaiah 42:5-9
5 Thus says Yahuwah Elohim,
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it,
Who gives breath to the people on it,
And spirit to those who walk on it:
6 “I, Yahuwah, have called You in righteousness,
And will hold Your hand;
I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the Gentiles,
7 To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the prison,
Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
8 I am Yahuwah, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images.
9 Behold, the former things have come to pass,
And new things I declare;
Before they spring forth I tell you of them.

In Isiah 58 about this day of atonement. He tells us it is not a time for fasting with food, but rather a time for fasting where we do things for ourselves. It is a time where we are to help others. It starts with the trumpet (the appointed time of trumpets) and then moves to the day of atonement.

Let’s look:

Isaiah 58:1
1 “Cry aloud, do not hold back;
Lift up your voice like a trumpet,
And declare to My people their transgression
And to the house of Jacob their sins.

After the appointed time of Trumpets was the 10 days which leads up to the day of atonement. It was a time of reflection where we spoke our transgressions. Yahuwah points out that the people are not using this time correctly.

Isaiah 58:2-4
2 “Yet they seek Me day by day and delight [superficially] to know My ways,
As [if they were in reality] a nation that has done righteousness
And has not abandoned (turned away from) the ordinance of their Elohim.
They ask of Me righteous judgments,
They delight in the nearness of Elohim.
3  ‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and You do not see it?
Why have we humbled ourselves and You do not notice?’
Hear this, on the day of your fast [when you should be grieving for your sins] you find something you desire [to do],
And you force your hired servants to work [instead of stopping all work, as the law teaches].
4  “The facts are that you fast only for strife and brawling and to strike with the fist of wickedness.
You do not fast as you do today to make your voice heard on high.

Yahuwah then tells us the fast that He chose, which differs from the fast which man chose.

Isaiah 58:5-8
5  “Is a fast such as this what I have chosen, a day for a man to humble himself [with sorrow in his soul]?
Is it only to bow down his head like a reed
And to make sackcloth and ashes as a bed [pretending to have a repentant heart]?
Do you call this a fast and a day pleasing to Yahuwah?
6  “[Rather] is this not the fast which I choose,
To undo the bonds of wickedness,
To tear to pieces the ropes of the yoke,
To let the oppressed go free
And break apart every [enslaving] yoke?
7  “Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry
And bring the homeless poor into the house;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not to hide yourself from [the needs of] your own flesh and blood?
8  “Then your light will break out like the dawn,
And your healing (restoration, new life) will quickly spring forth;
Your righteousness will go before you [leading you to peace and prosperity],
The glory of Yahuwah will be your rear guard.

He tells us that instead, we should be looking to help others. Fasting not for yourself but rather fasting  such that we do not do things for ourself but instead for others.

Isaiah 58:9-11
9 “Then you will call, and Yahuwah will answer;
You will cry for help, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’
If you take away from your midst the yoke [of oppression],
The finger pointed in scorn [toward the oppressed or the godly], and [every form of] wicked (sinful, unjust) speech,
10 And if you offer yourself to [assist] the hungry
And satisfy the need of the afflicted,
Then your light will rise in darkness
And your gloom will become like midday.
11 “And Yahuwah will continually guide you,
And satisfy your soul in scorched and dry places,
And give strength to your bones;
And you will be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

He then tells us something very important. It is so important that many people do not see that which is right in front of them. He tells what His people shall do. What it is that they shall restore. His calendar.

Isaiah 58:12-14
12 “And your people will rebuild the ancient ruins;
You will raise up and restore the age-old foundations [of buildings that have been laid waste];
You will be called Repairer of the Breach,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
13 “If you return back your direction of walking to the Sabbath,
From doing your own thing on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy day of Yahuwah honourable,
And honour it, not going your own way
Or engaging in your own pleasure
Or speaking your own [idle] words,
14  Then you will take pleasure in Yahuwah,
And I will make you ride on the high places of the earth,
And I will feed you with the [promised] heritage of Jacob your father (Israel – the twelve tribes);
For the mouth of Yahuwah has spoken.”

 The time is coming when these events shall fall upon us. Are we preparign for that time or just living in the moment?

Yahuwah Bless.

  1. Unhealthy replacement theology. The ingrafted branch is defined by the tree it is ingrafted into – NEVER the other other way around. Those who were ”torn out” then are still beloved for the fathers’ (Avraham, Yitshaq, and Ya`aqov!) sake. Those of my people and the converts who have remained loyal to YHWH are the remnant in every generation. Please discover the historical Nazarene Judaism, preceding and mostly murdered by LATER apostate Christianity. On request I can guide you with the academic sources OR better yet, you can discover and claim correct knowledge on your own.
