The old covenant and the new covenant prophecies

The old covenant provided us with a list of things which were going to be fulfilled in the future. Many of those things have been fulfilled already, whilst others are still to be fulfilled.

This list of items already fulfilled was made after a discussion where I discovered that there are a number of religions who do not acknowledge the renewed covenant (which is also known as the new testament by many). The reason is that they deny that Yahushua came to save us from our sins.

In 1 John 2 we read:

1 John 2:22-23
22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Yahushua is the Maschiach (the Messiah, the Anointed)? This is the anti-maschiach [the enemy and antagonist of Yahushua], the one who denies and consistently refuses to acknowledge the Father and the Son.
23 Whoever denies and repudiates the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses and acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

So I went through the scriptures to gather together a list of prophecies from the old covenant (old testament) and the renewed covenant (new testament) so we could see if any of them have indeed be fulfilled. The list is long and I will keep adding to it.

Scriptures tell us in the old testament that this will be the situation.

#1 The messiah would be born in Bethlehem, and the Messiah would be the Ancient of days.

Old Covenant
Micah 5:1-2

1 “Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops;
A state of siege has been placed against us.
They shall strike the ruler of YisraEl on the cheek with a rod (scepter).
“But as for you, Beth Lechem (Bethlehem) Ephrathah (Fruitful),
Too little to be among the clans of Yehudah (Judah);
From you One shall come forth for Me [who is] to be Ruler in YisraEl,
His goings forth are from long ago,
From ancient days.”

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 2:1-6
1 Now when Yahushua was born in Beth Lechem (Bethlehem) of Yehudah (Judea) in the days of Herod the king (Herod the Great), magi (wise men) from the east came to Yahrushalom (Jerusalem), asking,
2 “Where is He who has been born King of the Yehudim (Jews)? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
3 When Herod the king heard this, he was disturbed, and all Yahrushalom with him.
4 So he called together all the chief priests and scribes of the people and [anxiously] asked them where the Meshiach (the Messiah, the Anointed) was to be born.
5 They replied to him, “In Beth Lechem (Bethlehem) of Yehudah (Judea), for this is what has been written by the prophet [Micah]:

‘And you, Beth Lechem (Bethlehem), in the land of Yehudah (Judah),
are not in any way least among the leaders of Yehudah (Judah);
For from you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people YisraEl.’”

Revelation 20:12-13
12 “Behold, I (Yahushua) am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to the merit of his deeds (earthly works, faithfulness). 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One].”

#2 Our saviour would be born of a virgin

Old Covenant
Isaiah 7:14
14 Therefore Yahuwah will give you a sign: Listen carefully, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will call his name Immanuel (El is with us).

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 1:20-23
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of Yahuwah appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Yoseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Rauch haKodesh.
21 She will give birth to a Son, and you shall name Him Yahushua (Yah is salvation), for He will save His people from their sins.”
22 All this happened in order to fulfill what Yahuwah had spoken through the prophet [Isaiah]: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel” – which, when translated, means, “El with us.”

#3 The birth of our saviour would be announced by a star and He shall come from the family of Ya’akov (Jacob)

Old Covenant
Numbers 24:17
17 “I see Him, but not now;
I behold Him, but not near.
A star shall come forth from [the descendants of] Ya’akov (Jacob) [Israel],
A scepter shall rise out of [the descendants of] Israel (Ya’akov -Jacob)
And shall crush the forehead of Mo-awb (Moab)
And destroy all the sons of Sheth (Seth – A son of Adam – man).

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 1:16
16 Ya’akov (Jacob) was the father of Yoseph (Joseph) the husband of Miryam (Mary), by whom Yahushua (Jesus) was born, who is called the Meschiach (Messiah).

Matthew 2:1-6
1 Now when Yahushua was born in Beth Lechem (Bethlehem) of Yehudah (Judea) in the days of Herod the king (Herod the Great), magi (wise men) from the east came to Yahrushalom (Jerusalem), asking, 2 “Where is He who has been born King of the Yehudim (Jews)? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”

#4 When the saviour would be born the children would be killed.

Old Covenant
Jeremiah 31:15
15 Thus says Yahuwah
“A voice is heard in Ramah,
Lamentation (songs of mourning) and bitter weeping.
Rakhel (Rachel – YisraEl) is weeping for her children;
She refuses to be comforted for her children,
Because they are gone.”

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 2:16-18
16 Then Herod, when he realized that he had been tricked by the magi, was extremely angry, and he sent [soldiers] and put to death all the male children in Beth Lechem (Bethlehem) and in all that area who were two years old and under, according to the date which he had learned from the magi. 17 Then what had been spoken through Yirmeyah (Jeremiah) the prophet was fulfilled:

18 “A voice was heard in Ramah,
Weeping and great mourning,
Rakhel (Rachel – YisraEl) weeping for her children;
She refused to be comforted,
Because they were no more.”

#5 The Saviour would be called out of Egypt

Old Covenant
Hosea 11:1
1 When YisraEl (Israel) was a child [a young nation], I loved him,
And I called My son out of Mitsrayim (Egypt).

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 2:14-15
14 So Yoseph (Joseph) got up and took the Child and His mother while it was still night, and left for Mitsrayim (Egypt). 15 He remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what Yahuwah had spoken by the prophet [Hosea]: “Out of  Mitsrayim (Egypt) I called My Son.”

#6 The Saviour would be Anointed and Crucified

Old Covenant
Daniel 9
24 Seventy periods of seven are to be marked out upon the people and the holy city to restrain the punishment of transgressions, to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for  iniquity and to bring in everlasting  righteousness and to seal the vision of the prophet and to anoint the most holy place of Yahuwah.

25 Be wise with knowledge and have insight and go forth with these words from turning back and rebuilding Yahrushalom to the anointed one who is the ruler. Seven periods of seven and sixty two periods of seven, the open places shall be rebuilt and bought back with moats and there shall be distressing occurrences.

26 After  sixty  two periods of seven the anointed one , the messiah shall be removed by His countrymen and a ruler shall be bought in who shall corrupt the city and those set apart to be holy and until the end of this battle the people will be stunned, stupefied and be desolate as it has been decreed.

27 And the powerful one will confirm His covenant with many for one  period of seven  and half way through the period of seven the sacrifices of the passover shall no longer be observed and to the extremity, the detestable thing shall cause those to be stunned, stupefied and desolate until complete destruction is decreed and has been poured upon those who have been stunned, stupefied and are desolate.

Renew Covenant
Matthew 26:6-13
6 Now when Yahushua was [back] in Bethany, at the home of Simon the leper,
7 a woman came to Him with an alabaster vial of very expensive perfume and she poured it on Yahushua’s head as He reclined at the table. (anointed)
8 But when the disciples saw it they were indignant and angry, saying, “Why all this waste [of money]?
9 For this perfume might have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.” 10 But Yahushua, aware [of the malice] of this [remark], said to them, “Why are you bothering the woman? She has done a good thing to Me.
11 For you always have the poor with you; but you will not always have Me.
12 When she poured this perfume on My body, she did it to prepare Me for burial.
13 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, wherever this gospel [of salvation] is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told in memory of her [for her act of love and devotion].”

Mark 14:3-9
3 While He was in Bethany [as a guest] at the home of Simon the leper, and reclining at the table, a woman came with an alabaster vial of very costly and precious perfume of pure nard; and she broke the vial and poured the perfume over His head.
4 But there were some who were indignantly remarking to one another, “Why has this perfume been wasted?
5 For this perfume might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii [a laborer’s wages for almost a year], and the money given to the poor.” And they scolded her.
6 But Yahushua said, “Let her alone; why are you bothering her and causing trouble? She has done a good and beautiful thing to Me.
7 For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you wish you can do something good to them; but you will not always have Me.
8 She has done what she could; she has anointed My body beforehand for the burial.
9 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, wherever the good news [regarding salvation] is proclaimed throughout the world, what she has done will be told in memory of her.”

Luke 7:36-50
36 One of the Pharisees asked Yahushua to eat with him, and He went into the Pharisee’s house [in the region of Galilee] and reclined at the table.
37 Now there was a woman in the city who was [known as] a sinner; and when she found out that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume;
38 and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began wetting His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and [respectfully] kissed His feet [as an act signifying both affection and submission] and anointed them with the perfume. 39 Now when [Simon] the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, “If this Man were a prophet He would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching Him, that she is a [notorious] sinner [an outcast, devoted to sin].”
40 Yahushua, answering, said to the Pharisee, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he replied, “Teacher, say it.”
41 “A certain moneylender had two debtors: one owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
42 When they had no means of repaying [the debts], he freely forgave them both. So which of them will love him more?”
43 Simon answered, “The one, I take it, for whom he forgave more.” Yahushua said to him, “You have decided correctly.”
44 Then turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house [but you failed to extend to Me the usual courtesies shown to a guest]; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair [demonstrating her love].
45 You gave Me no [welcoming] kiss, but from the moment I came in, she has not ceased to kiss My feet.
46 You did not [even] anoint My head with [ordinary] oil, but she has anointed My feet with [costly and rare]perfume.
47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.”
48 Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 Those who were reclining at the table with Him began saying among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
50 Yahushua said to the woman, “Your faith [in Me] has saved you; go in peace [free from the distress experienced because of sin].

John 12:1-8
1 Six days before the Passover, Yahushua went to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom He had raised from the dead.
2 So they gave a supper for Him there. Martha was serving, and Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.
3 Then Mary took a pound of very expensive perfume of pure nard, and she poured it on Yahushua’s feet and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. (anointed)
4 But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, the one who was going to betray Him, said, 5 “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and [the money] given to the poor?”
6 Now he said this, not because he cared about the poor [for he had never cared about them], but because he was a thief; and since he had the money box [serving as treasurer for the twelve disciples], he used to pilfer what was put into it.
7 So Yahushua said, “Let her alone, so that she may keep [the rest of] it for the day of My burial.
8 You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.”

Matthew 27:50-51
50 And Yahushua cried out again with a loud [agonized] voice, and gave up His spirit . 51 And [at once] the veil [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; the earth shook and the rocks were split apart (crucified).

Mark 15:37-38
37 But Yahushua uttered a loud cry, and breathed out His last . 38 And the veil [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom (crucified).

Luke 23:46
46 And Yahushua, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit!” Having said this, He breathed His last (crucified).

John 19:30
30 When Yahushua had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and [voluntarily] [o]gave up His spirit (crucified).

#7 Yisrael would reject Him and His Message

Old Covenant
Psalm 118:22
22 The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.

Isaiah 8:14
14  “Then He shall be a sanctuary;
But to both the houses of YisraEl  a stone on which to stumble and a rock on which to trip,
A trap and a snare for the inhabitants of Yahrushalom.
15  “Many [among them] will stumble over them;
Then they will fall and be broken,
They will even be snared and trapped.”
16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law and the teaching among my disciples.
17 And I will wait for Yahuwah who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob (Yisrael); and I will look eagerly for Him.

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 21:42-43
42 Yahushua asked them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
‘The [very] Stone which the builders rejected and threw away,
Has become the chief Cornerstone;
This is the Yahuwah’s doing,
And it is marvelous and wonderful in our eyes’?

1 Peter 2:7-8
7 This precious value, then, is for you who believe;
but for those who disbelieve,

“The [very] stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief Cornerstone,”

8 and,
“A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;
for they stumble because they disobey the word [of Yahuwah], and to this they [who reject Him as Saviour] were also appointed.

Romans 9:31-33
31 Whereas YisraEl, [though always] pursuing the law of righteousness, did not succeed in fulfilling the law.
32 And why not? Because it was not by faith [that they pursued it], but as though it were by works [relying on the merit of their works instead of their faith]. They stumbled over the stumbling Stone [Yahushua HaMashiach].
33 As it is written and forever remains written,
“Behold I am laying in Zion (Yahrushalom) a Stone of stumbling and a Rock of offense;
And he who believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].”

#8 The Jews would have a hardened heart against the messiah

Old Covenant
Ysha’yah (Isaiah) 53:1
1 Who has believed our message [of salvation]? And to whom [if not us] has the arm and infinite power of Yahuwah been revealed?

Ysha’yah (Isaiah) 6-9-10
And He said, “Go, and tell this people:

‘Keep on listening, but do not understand;
Keep on looking, but do not comprehend.’

10 “Make the heart of this people insensitive,
Their ears dull,
And their eyes dim,
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
Understand with their hearts,
And return and be healed.”

Renewed Covenant
John 12:37-40
37 Even though He had done so many signs (attesting miracles) right before them, yet they still did not believe and failed to trust Him— 38 This was to fulfill what Isaiah the prophet said: “Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm (the power) of the Yahuwah been shown (unveiled, revealed)?”

39 Therefore they could not believe, for Isaiah said again, 40 “He has blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart, to keep them from seeing with their eyes and understanding with their heart and being converted; otherwise, I [their Elohim] would heal them.”

#9 The unbelief of Yisrael’s leaders would force the Saviour to reject them

Old Covenant
Zechariah 11:8
8 Then I eliminated the three [incompetent, unfit] shepherds [the civil rulers, the priests, and the prophets] in one month, for I was impatient with them, and they also were tired of me and despised me.

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 23:33
29 “Woe to you, [self-righteous] scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build tombs for the prophets and decorate and adorn the monuments of the righteous,
30 and you say, ‘If we had been living in the days of our fathers, we would not have joined them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’
31 So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.
32 Fill up, then, the [allotted] measure of the guilt of your fathers’ sins. 33 You serpents, you spawn of vipers, how can you escape the penalty of hell?

#10 Yahrushalom (Jersusalem) would become desolate

Old Covenant
Jeremiah 6:21-23

21 Therefore, thus says Yahuwah,

“Behold, I am laying stumbling blocks before this people.
The fathers and the sons together
Will stumble against them;
The neighbor and his friend will perish.”

22 Thus says Yahuwah,

“Behold, a people is coming from the north country,
And a great nation shall be stirred up and put into action from the remote parts of the earth.
23 “They seize bow and spear;
They are cruel and inhuman and have no mercy.
Their voice sounds like the roaring sea;
They ride [in formation] on horses,
Arrayed as a man for battle
Against you, O Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem)!”

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 23:37-39

37 “O Yahrushalom, Yahrushalom, (Jerusalem) who murders the prophets and stones[to death] those [messengers] who are sent to her [by Yahuwah]! How often I wanted to gather your children together [around Me], as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.
38 Listen carefully: your house is being left to you desolate [completely abandoned by Yahuwah and destitute of His protection]!
39 For I say to you, you will not see Me again [ministering to you publicly] until you say, ‘Blessed [to be celebrated with praise] is He who comes in the name of Yahuwah!’”

#11 The Messiah would stop ministering to those who rejected Him

Old Covenant
Zechariah 11:9
9 So I said, “I will not pasture you. What is to die, let it die, and what is to be destroyed, let it be destroyed; and let the survivors devour one another’s flesh.”

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 13:10-15
10 Then the disciples came to Him and asked, “Why do You speak to the crowds in parables?”
11 Yahushua replied to them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.
12 For whoever has [spiritual wisdom because he is receptive to Yahuwah’s word], to him more will be given, and he will be richly and abundantly supplied;
but whoever does not have [spiritual wisdom because he has devalued Yahuwah’s word], even what he has will be taken away from him.

13 This is the reason I speak to the crowds in parables: because while [having the power of] seeing they do not see, and while [having the power of] hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand and grasp [spiritual things].

#12 He would go into the desert as the scapegoat (YisraEl) and YisraEl would also do this.

Old Covenant
Leviticus 16:10, 21-22
10 But the goat on which the lot fell for the scapegoat shall be presented alive before Yahuwah to make atonement on it; it shall be sent into the wilderness as the scapegoat.

21 Then Ahron (Aaron) shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the wickedness of the sons of YisraEl and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins; and he shall lay them on the head of the goat [the scapegoat, the sin-bearer], and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is prepared [for the task]. 22 The goat shall carry on itself all their (the YisraElites) wickedness, carrying them to a solitary (infertile) land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

Renewed Covenant
Mark 1:12-13

12 Immediately the Ruach (Spirit) forced Him out into the wilderness.
13 He was in the wilderness forty days being tempted [to do evil] by Satan; and He was with the wild animals, and the angels ministered continually to Him.

Luke 4:1
Now Yahushua, full of [and in perfect communication with] the Ruach haKodesh, returned from the Yarden (Jordan) and was led by the Ruach (Spirit) in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they ended, He was hungry.

#13 They would serve Him with their lips while their hearts were far from Him

Old Covenant
Isaiah 29:13
13 Then Yahuwah said,

“Because this nation approaches [Me only] with their words
And honours Me [only] with their lip service,
But they remove their hearts far from Me,
And their reverence for Me is a tradition that is learned by rote [without any regard for its meaning],

14 Therefore, listen carefully, I will again do marvelous and amazing things with this people, wonderful and astonishing things;
And the wisdom of their wise men will perish,
And the understanding of their discerning men will be hidden.”

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 15:7-9
7 You hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders), rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you when he said,

‘This people honours Me with their lips,
But their heart is far away from Me.
‘But in vain do they worship Me,
For they teach as doctrines the precepts of men.’”

#14 He would come into Jerusalem upon a donkey in the midst of great acclamation

Old Covenant
Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion!
Shout aloud, O Daughter of Yahrushalom (Jerusalem) !
Behold, your King (Messianic King) is coming to you;
He is righteous and endowed with salvation,
Humble and unassuming [in submission to the will of the Father] and riding on a donkey,
Upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 21:1-5, 9
1 When they approached Yahrushalom (Jerusalem) and had reached Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Yahushua sent two limmud (disciples) [ahead].

5 “Tell the daughter of Zion (the people of Yahrushalom),
‘Behold, your King is coming to you,
Gentle and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’”

6 Then the limmud (disciples) went and did as Yahushua had instructed them,
7 and they brought the donkey and the colt, and placed their coats on them;
and Yahushua sat on the coats.

8 Most of the crowd spread their coats on the road [as before a king], while others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road. 9 The crowds that went ahead of Him, and those that followed Him, were shouting [in praise and adoration],

“Hosanna to the Son of David (Messiah);
Blessed [praised, glorified] is He who comes in the name of Yahuwah;
Hosanna in the highest [heaven]!”

#15 He would cast the money changers out of the temple

Old Covenant
Jeremiah 7:11
11 Has this house, which is called by My Name, become a den of robbers in your eyes [a place of retreat for you between acts of violence]? Behold, I Myself have seen it,” says Yahuwah

Isaiah 56:7
7 All these I will bring to My holy mountain
And make them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar;
For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

Psalm 69:9
For zeal for Your house has consumed me,
And the [mocking] insults of those who insult You have fallen on me.

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 21:12-13
12 And Yahushua entered the temple [grounds] and drove out [with force] all who were buying and selling [birds and animals for sacrifice] in the temple area, and He turned over the tables of the moneychangers [who made a profit exchanging foreign money for temple coinage] and the chairs of those who were selling doves [for sacrifice].
13 Yahushua said to them, “It is written [in Scripture], ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robbers’ den.”

John 2:15-16
13 Now the Passover of the Yehudi (Jews) was approaching, so Yahushua (Jesus) went up to Yahrushalom (Jerusalem).
14 And in the temple He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables.
15 He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; 16 then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Stop making My Father’s house a place of commerce!”
17 His disciples remembered that it is written [in the Scriptures], “Zeal (love, concern) for Your house [and its honor] will consume Me.”

#16 He would be rejected

Old Covenant
Isaiah 53:3
He was despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief;
And like One from whom men hide their faces
He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him.

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 27:21-23
21 The governor said to them, “Which of the two do you wish me to set free for you?” And they said, “Barabbas.”
22 Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Meshiach?” They all replied, “Let Him be crucified!”
23 And he said, “Why, what has He done that is evil?” But they continued shouting all the louder, “Let Him be crucified!”

#17 He would be sold for thirty pieces of Silver

Old Covenant
Zechariah 11:11-12
11 So the covenant was broken on that day, and thus the most wretched of the flock who were watching me realized that it was the word of Yahuwah.
12 I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, do not.” So they weighed out thirty pieces of silver as my wages.

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 26:14-16
14 Then one of the twelve [disciples], who was called Ioudas (Judas) Iscariot, went to the chief priests
15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I hand Yahushua over to you?” And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver.
16 And from that moment Judas began looking for an opportune time to betray Yahushua.

#18 His price would be given to the potters

Old Covenant
Zechariah 11:13-14
13 Then Yahuwah said to me, “Throw it to the potter [as if to the dogs] – that magnificent sum at which I am valued by them!” So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of Yahuwah.
14 Then I broke my second staff, Union, into pieces to break the brotherhood between Judah (the Southern Kingdom) and Israel (the Northern Kingdom).

Renewed Covenant
Matthew 27:7-10
3 When Ioudas (Judas), His betrayer, saw that Yahushua (Jesus) was condemned, he was gripped with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders,
4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They replied, “What is that to us? See to that yourself!”
5 And throwing the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary, he left; and went away and hanged himself.
6 The chief priests, picking up the pieces of silver, said, “It is not lawful to put these in the treasury [of the temple], because it is the price of blood.”
7 So after consultation they used the money to buy the Potter’s Field as a burial place for strangers.
8 Therefore that piece of ground has been called the Field of Blood to this day.
9 Then the words spoken by Yirmeyah (Jeremiah) the prophet were fulfilled: “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him on whom a price had been set by the sons of Israel; 10 and they gave them for the Potter’s Field, as Yahuwah directed me.”

#19 His followers would forsake Him

Old Covenant
Zechariah 13:7
