The sun, the moon and the stars.

He reveals things sometimes at the most unexpected times.

I was speaking with a brother today and we were discussing a little about the purpose of the stars. In particular, I was mentioning this scripture:

Revelation 12:1-2
1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars
2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

I was saying how we know that Yahuwah gave us the sun, the moon and the stars for His appointed times. He tells us in the first chapter of the first book.

Genesis 1:14
14 Then Elohim said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs of appointed times, and for the days and for the years;

I was saying to my brother that the year we know today is longer than it was back then. We see in His word a 360 day year, but today we see a 365 day year. I pointed out that we see in His word the following:

Matthew 24:22
22 And if those days [of tribulation] had not been cut short, no human life would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

Mark 13:20
20 And if Yahuwah had not shortened the days, no human life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose [for Himself], He shortened the days.

So we know then that the days must be shortened and it tells us for who they shall be shortened. He tells us for the sake of the elect. The elect we read of in Revelation 7 and 12.

Revelation 7:2-4
2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the rising of the sun, holding the seal of the living Elohim; and with a loud voice he called out to the four angels to whom it was granted [to have authority and power] to harm the earth and the sea,
3 saying, “Do not harm the earth nor the sea nor the trees until we seal (mark) the bond-servants of our Elohim on their foreheads.”
4 And I heard how many were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand; [twelve thousand] sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:

Revelation 14:1,12
1 Then I looked, and this is what I saw: the Lamb stood [firmly established] on Mount Zion, and with Him a hundred and forty-four thousand who had His name and His Father’s name inscribed on their foreheads.
12 Here is [encouragement for] the steadfast endurance of the saints(the elect), those who keep Yahuwah’s commandments and their faith in Yahshua.

We know that the day was lengthened in days Hezekiah

2 Kings 20:8-10
8 Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What will be the sign that Yahuwah will [completely] heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of Yahuwah on the third day?”
9 Isaiah said, “This will be the sign to you from Yahuwah, that He will do the thing that He has spoken: shall the shadow [indicating the time of day] go forward ten steps, or go backward ten steps?”
10 Hezekiah answered, “It is easy for the shadow to go forward ten steps; no, but let the shadow turn backward ten steps.”
11 So Isaiah the prophet called out to Yahuwah, and He brought the shadow on the steps ten steps backward by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz.

And we know that ten steps equals around 20 minutes per day which equals around 5 days per year. In a full day, we have 24 hours with each hour having 60 minutes. But in the hours of daylight, we have half this amount ~ 12 hours.

1. 360 degree circle (on a sundial) divided by 12 hours of sunlight (average day)
= 30 degrees per hour.
2. 1/3rd of an hour (60 minutes) equals 20 minutes.
3. 1/3rd of 30 degrees is 10 degrees
4. 10 degrees would therefore equal 20 minutes

20 minutes extra in a day is who long in a 360 day year?

1. 20 minutes per day x 360 days = 7200 extra minutes per year.
2. 7200 extra minutes per year / 60 minutes in an hour = 120 hours per year.
3. 120 extra hours per year / 24 hours in a day = 5 days per year.

So what was it He showed me?

In Enoch we seem to see the opposite. We seem to see the the years becoming shorter. That has puzzled me as I see the year becoming longer. But it simply depends upon where you are standing.

You see if the year of Noah was using a 360 day calendar and the people were indeed using the moon to tell His appointed times, what would happen to the year? – It would have changed for them from 360 days to 354 days. The year did indeed become shorter.

And this understanding then shines light upon the following scripture:

Enoch 80:1-8
1 And in those days the angel Uriel answered and said to me: ‘Behold, I have shown thee everything, Enoch, and I have revealed everything to thee that thou shouldst see this sun and this moon, and the leaders of the stars of the heaven and all those who turn them, their tasks and times and departures.
2 And in the days of the sinners the years shall be shortened,
And their seed shall be tardy on their lands and fields,
And all things on the earth shall alter,
And shall not appear in their time:
And the rain shall be kept back
And the heaven shall withhold.
3 And in those times the fruits of the earth shall be backward,
And shall not grow in their time,
And the fruits of the trees shall be withheld in their time.
4 And the moon shall alter her order,
And not appear at her time.

You see for a people who were using the moon for the appointed times, it would suddenly appear that everything started to move backward and this is because the moon has altered its order in the way in which it showed the people the appointed times. It no longer appeared at the times it was supposed to – a result of the earth being slowed down to make the solar year longer.

1) The solar year effects the growing of crops. Making in longer would push backward the fruits of the earth and the times they would appear.
2) The lunar year would become shorter, causing the people of Yahuwah to no longer know when the appointed times of the Father were. The moon no longer appeared at its time.

Let’s continue to look at what this scripture says:

Enoch 80:5-8
5 And in those days the sun shall be seen and he shall journey in the evening on the extremity of the great chariot in the west
And shall shine more brightly than accords with the order of light.
6 And many chiefs of the stars shall transgress the order (prescribed).
And these shall alter their orbits and tasks,
And not appear at the seasons prescribed to them.
7 And the whole order of the stars shall be concealed from the sinners,
And the thoughts of those on the earth shall err concerning them,
[And they shall be altered from all their ways],
Yea, they shall err and take them to be gods.
8 And evil shall be multiplied upon them,
And punishment shall come upon them So as to destroy all.’

We see the sun shining more brightly in the days of the sinner. That is what we see today. A longer year. The sun shines longer each day. Because the sun shines for longer the solar year is longer and the lunar year shorter thus the stars transgress their order. That is they will seem to violate the law or command given to them, from our perspective. So what is the result of this?

Scripture says that the order of the stars shall be concealed from the sinners and people of the earth shall err concerning them. It is quite simple what this is saying.

Man was following Elohim’s appointed times. Man started to follow other gods at Yahuwah’s appointed times. Yahuwah removed the appointed times from man so that they could not be abused. Man has sought knowledge to try to restore the appointed times. Man has erred concerning them. Why? Not because we are not able to follow Him. Because He hid them from us so we would not abuse them.

Enoch also tells us that the people shall take the calendar and shall make gods out of them. Have you ever looked at the Gregorian calendar and the day names, and the month names we see? These are exactly what was being spoken of here. The Gregorian calendar uses the names of other gods.The calendar we find in His word however, says that the year has 360 days in it.

The book of Enoch seems to speak of 364 days however scripture tells us itself, that these 4 days are not to be reckoned in the year and because of them men go wrong.

Enoch 78:1-3
1 And the leaders of the heads
of the thousands, who are
placed over the whole creation and
over all the stars, have also to do with
the four intercalary days, being
inseparable from their office, according
to the reckoning of the year, and these
render service on the four days which
are not reckoned in the reckoning of
the year.
2 And owing to them men go astray
therein, for those lights truly render
service on the world-stations, one in
the first portal, one in the third portal of
the shamayim, one in the fourth portal,
and one in the sixth portal, and the exactness of the year is accomplished
through its separate three hundred and
sixty-four stations.
3 For the signs and the times and the
years and the days the messenger
Uri’ĕl showed to me, whom יהוה of
esteem has appointed forever over ALL
the lights of the shamayim, in the
shamayim and in the world, that they
should rule on the face of the
shamayim and be seen on the earth,
and be leaders for the day and the
night: the sun, moon, and stars, and all
the ministering beings which make
their revolution in all the chariots of the
shamayim.

So when you have someone who follows a luni-solar calendar, do not berate them. For they are doing what they can to follow the Father. They are showing their love for Him by doing their best to follow Him. Indeed these people are making progress back to His appointed times. Learning the way of the Father and the restoration of all things.

It’s not perfect at the moment. Its the way the Father said it was to be. But like a bike many have training wheels upon it first and when they are riding without fear of falling, the training wheels are removed. That is how I see the point in time we are at presently.
